Hi Friends!!! I am so excited to be teaming up with HomeGoods and some of my blogging friends to share our home decorated for spring! I was so excited to decorate for spring this year after our Christmas decor stayed up for an extended period of time. The moment the Christmas decor came down I was instantly exchanging it for some fresh touches for spring. Since our winters last so long, I usually take a break during February,
but I was glad to put spring touches out earlier this year. Our February ended up being record breakingly warm this year. Pretty much growing up New England you dream for that day 70 degree day in March, but this year we hit that amazing warm temperature in February. The snow had all melted and spring felt like it was well on it’s way. As I type this we are currently getting dumped on with 2 ft of fresh snow. So much for spring happening outside, but at least things feel cheery and spring-like inside!
I love adding texture to our home, so this happy little white and seagrass striped basket from HomeGoods was a must! Baskets are my friend. I think I collect them just as much as I do throw pillows. It makes picking things up around our home super easy! I just throw everything in the basket, and then put a throw blanket or pretty pillow on top, and guests never know!
I recently shared on Instagram this cute wooden vase trio from PCB Home. They are another great way to add texture, and a cute way to add flowers to our living room without placing a large vase on our coffee table.
I picked up these faux stems from Michaels this year, and love that they all slightly vary in shape and size to look more life-like.
One of my favorite things I added this year, were these new white lamps from HomeGoods. I got two because I loved them so much, and placed one in our dining room and one in our living room. They totally freshened and lightened up the space.
I shared last week how I made some changes in our living room, and moved furniture around. I think I forgot how nice it is to switch up the furniture, something I did as a teenager all the time. It was so much fun just to re-arrange things in a new way, and really made things feel freshened up for spring.
My main goal this year was adding faux florals for spring, that really looked and felt like real flowers.
This white tulip arrangement is from HomeGoods, and have more of a rubber-like texture instead of fabric, which really add to their “real like” appearance.
I also added some new white frames to the wall which help lighten up the wall space, and HomeGoods is one of my favorite places to find large frames at a great price!
In the dining room I kept things simple, light and airy. Another go-to find at HomeGoods are their glass hurricane vases. I grabbed a bunch in a variety of sizes and staggered them down the center of our dining room table.
I filled them with white sand, and flameless pillar candles, also found at HomeGoods, for an easy centerpiece that requires no maintenance!
I also added a new round mirror from HomeGoods, along with the other lamp you saw in the living room. It instantly made our dining room feel twice the size it was.
I used to have a mirror there, but it had been a few years since I had one up. I forgot how much I liked having a mirror there.
I also picked up this sweet little faux arrangement from HomeGoods, one of the best things about having good “real-looking” faux flowers is you never have to worry about water, and they last well past the 2-week mark you get with real flowers. Don’t get me wrong I love real flowers, but especially during these cold months were I can’t walk outside yet and clip things from my yard yet, faux is a welcomed thing!
In our kitchen I freshened things up with some faux green branches and bright blue pillow from Danielle Oakey Shop. I love how it adds just enough bright and cheery while we still wait for things to thaw outside.

Bre your house is beautiful as always! I always look forward to seeing your new updates! Would you mind sharing the sizes of the rugs in your living room? Also, the link for the jute rug in the living room isn’t working. I would love to know where to find one!
Bre says
Hi Shirlee! Our Jute rug is similar to this one (unfortunately I think the one I have is no longer available) – http://rstyle.me/n/cikhg5zdwn, and is a 6X9. The patterned rug on top of it is from Target found here – http://rstyle.me/n/b8h8vezdwn, and is a 5X7. Sorry the links weren’t working on, and thanks for letting me know so I can fix the problem 🙂

Sneak “peeks”, I’m sure you meant! Lovely spring ideas.
Bre says
Yes I did! The computer I was using has autocorrect, so it changes the words to what it thought I was wanting to say instead of what I actually typed. And unfortunately being stuck in an airport I didn’t have too much time to double check 🙂

Oh, gosh, can’t believe you got stuck. Oh, well. Spring is almost here and nice to unplug. Look forward to seeing more later this week. xx
