Painted Porch Reveal

Well, I am so excited about this one. Love the transformation that has taken place over here. So let’s just get to the before and after :

BEFORE
Close up of this loveliness

AFTER

The lovely and very talented Annette Beliveau drew these for me.
A pumpkin drawing of Dannika (above) & Carter (below).

Love having personal accents. Thank You =D

No more weeds, no more cracks, all one color. I love how it dresses and cleans everything up. So happy with such a dramatic transformation. Who knew black could be so lovely. Can’t wait to switch out the screen door for something more farmhouse like that I can paint black as well. It’s hard to see, but I did paint both of the doors black too, will do a separate post on that one soon. Let’s take one more look at the before and after :
So glad to have this outdoor project done before the winter comes. One more thing to check off the list of annoying eye soars for me. Yippee =D

p.s. don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know whatcha think. Is black your thing? Are you pleasantly surprised at the transformation? Or still hesitant about using this color?
UPDATE: I linked up to ‘Flaunt it Friday’ over at Chic on a Shoestring, to show off our latest project.

A lot better. The black paint did a good transformation. Green and gray can be a boring combination, especially with the shade of green that kind of looked out-of-place in the color scheme. Black is a better and safer choice as it adds sheen and vibrancy to its exteriors. Lyn at DAL Builders

Can’t believe what a transformation just a little paint will do! (How did you keep the kids off while it was drying???)
