Last week I got the house all ready for fall.
So today I’m going to share a few snapshots of the dining room with you.
I’ll be back throughout the rest of the week,
to share some more, and my fall mantle,
but for now wanted to give you
a glimpse of how we have welcomed fall.
I switched out the summer decor, for some tan twigs, and clusters of berries,
my favorite fall candle {Harvest Wreath by Yankee Candle},
and switched out the vase fillers
around the pillar candles.
I stacked some books, and wrapped them with fabric scraps and twine to give the
white pumpkin a nice place to land.
I grabbed two different kinds of beans at the grocery store
to replace the white sand I had in there for summer.
{click here to see what I filled my vases with last year}
I also wrapped the white candles in twine,
to make them look more fall like.
My pinterest inspired pumpkin, placed in an urn.
One of my favorites for fall ๐
Our dining room shelves got spruced up for fall as well.
Starting with the bottom shelf, I switched out the pale yellow napkins I had for spring & summer,
for my twig and berry napkins, as well as adding a cluster of faux berries.
{I keep the bottom shelf to a minimum, so it doesn’t entice little hands to play}
On the middle shelf I hung a stick wreath that I already had
(you might remember it from last years Christmas table centerpiece),
and a smaller white plate in front of it.
They replaced the large light wooden serving plate from Ikea.
I also added some fall colored twigs and berries to the pitcher, and some pumpkins.
I gathered some wheat with a ribbon for a simple display.
Hoping to add some more wheat next year, I really love the look and feel of it.
I picked up the tarnished silver gravy boat for 75cents at a yard sale a few weeks ago,
and placed a little white pumpkin inside it.
I also added my letterpress numbers I got over at Barn Loft earlier this summer.
I got them to represent our house numbers,
and really like the texture they add to the space.
For the top shelf I added some more faux fall flowers to my white pitcher,
as well as the twiggy pumpkin I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
I added the red candle, and wrapped the existing vase
full of candle sticks with some taffeta.
If you follow me on Instagram then you have already seen some sneak peaks of the living room,
but I’ll be back tomorrow to share our living room fall touches with you.
Also have you seen the sneak peak of my
latest sign?

Hope to see you over there.
