you are either so inspired you’ve decorated
for fall by now,
~OR~
you’re sick of it and just wished it was either
summer again, or christmas time?!
Right!, No?!, Maybe? ๐
Well, as much as I’m dying for christmas to come along,
I am enjoying the fall decorations.
The season more so, but the fall decor sure makes it easier to say good-bye to summer.
I mean who doesn’t like a pumpkin? Right?!
Hopefully, you all like pumpkins ๐
I’ve already shown you our dining room & living room for fall.
Today I’m showing some blog love to our fall mantle.
I started by making the wooden plank background.
I really wanted to make things feel rustic for fall, and thought adding some wood tones
would be a good way to accomplish that.
Then I added the candle sticks to both sides,
topping them off with some
flower clusters I made.
Adding the gravy boats next with similar wheat clusters,
I had added to our dining room shelves.
I know birds are typically used in spring,
but my mom recently got me two new ones,
and I thought they were to cute
to be put away and wait until spring.
One the other side,
I replaced the lighter rattan place mat, for a darker one.
The other candle sticks,
topped off with a fall candle and the other flower cluster,
and another one of those cute white pumpkins
I got form Hobby Lobby.
I used the same pine cone vase filler, that you saw on top of our tv unit,
and wrapped twine around the vase,
as well as the tops of the two antique listerine bottles,
for some rustic fall feel.
In the middle I added this tarnished barn star,
and the other little bird.
Over all,
I tried to keep things feeling rustic, but simple.
I really love the feel of the wheat,
as I know I’ve previously mentioned,
but it’s one of my favorite things.
Hope you had a great weekend,
celebrating the first real day of Fall.
I will be sharing my fall mantle over here:
