Earlier this week I shared with
you how our dining room looks for fall.
So today I’m going to show you
a few things I did to
change up the living room for fall.
I love the warm fall tones it adds to the room,
it makes everything feel that much cozier.
So if I had you over for a cup(s) of coffee,
we’d be getting comfy in the living room with my yummy
harvest candles going, pumpkin spice coffee, and my kids tearing apart
their playroom, deciding who can roar like the loudest dinosaur.
Hope the couch is comfy ๐
I switched out the large white pitcher full of hydrangea’s
for something a little more rustic and fall feeling.
I got this pot at a yard sale for $5. It’s huge! It had so much potential,
I couldn’t pass it up. You will be seeing much more of
this guy, I’m sure of it, in the future.
I filled it with some simple wheat bunches, and fall colored blooms,
all while accompanied by this cute little orange
pumpkin.
For our ledges in between the living and dining room,
I tried to keep them pretty simple.
The pumpkins I grabbed from Hobby Lobby this year.
I couldn’t wait to add white pumpkins
to my collection.
I used the white pitcher that was full of hydrangea’s on the end table,
and filled it with branches, I grabbed from our yard,
wrapped them with ribbon.
You can see the pumpkin in the urn in the back ground that is on
the dining room side of our ledge.
On the living room side, I added some fall colored candles,
another white pumpkin,
and brought out my ruby red gerber daisies I got from Pier 1
when we first got married.
It was fun to add some things rich in color, since the rest of the
year I usually stick to white ๐
On top of the tv unit I worked with the same colors,
but cozied things up for fall.
I gave my candles a “sweater” for fall, by wrapping them in burlap, and then some white linen,
and finishing it off with some twine.
I love the layered look, and it allows me to use my candles I already had out.
The twiggy pumpkin was another score from hobby lobby.
I love the mini pumpkins,
so to find some this size, I couldn’t pass them up!
The wooden acorns I got from Hobby Lobby last year, but saw them back this year,
so I might just have to go back and pick up a couple more.
I pulled out my pine cone vase fillers, and filled some vases with them.
One you see here in the back ground, and others on my mantle
and dining room shelves.
I filled the cloche with the same grass I used under the pumpkin and topped it
with a twine ball I already had.
Overall, it’s just nice to change things up a bit,
as the season changes.
I love all the touches for fall,
and can’t wait
to show you my fall mantle ๐
Hope you have a wonderful weekend,
officially welcoming the first
day of Fall!
