Hello Friends!
Christmas is almost here! I love to decorate our home for the holidays, and one of my favorite sites is the soft glow of white lights from our Christmas tree. When we moved into our home a few years ago, I had been searching and searching for a realistic faux Christmas tree that felt nice and full, since our new living room has a bit more floor space then our previous living room had. This will be our third year with this faux Christmas tree in our living room, and it’s still just as beautiful as the day we got it. So today I’m sharing all the details.
Here’s a closer look ~
I purchased our Christmas tree from Amazon, after seeing my fellow blogging friend Jenna Sue rave about hers. It was exactly the size I was looking for. Full but not too wide, and I trust Jenna’s opinion, and when I saw this tree in her living room, I knew it was exactly what I had been searching for.

Three years later and I am still just as thrilled with it. I can assemble it with ease, and less then five minutes we have a fully lit Christmas tree up and ready to decorate! The decorating takes a bit longer, as I’m sure you can imagine, but we love to put on a Christmas movie, and sip on hot cocoa as we decorate the tree.
If you look back through my blog, in my earlier years of sharing our home for the holidays, then you would see how each year I used to change up the color scheme of my Christmas decor. One year, I received these white bulb ornaments as a gift from Balsam Hill, and from that year on I have stuck to decorating our tree with mostly white and mercury glass ornaments.
I just loved how elegant it felt, and if you have been around my blog for any amount of time, then you know that white is my favorite color. So why wouldn’t I want to fill my tree with ornaments in my favorite color ๐ The mercury glass ornaments have mostly found at HomeGoods and Marshalls, collected over the years. Every once and awhile a new box will catch my eye, and even though they aren’t true antiques I love the antique feel they add to the tree.
My kids each have a small tree in their room that they fill with their favorite ornaments, or ones they have made in the past, however it always surprises me at how much they love the look of the Christmas tree in our living room, simple in color. It’s as if they have also grown to love it, because it’s the same ornaments year after year they delight in seeing also.

Our angel on top is also from Balsam Hill. You can find it HERE. It’s the perfect size, and it also lights up. I love the shimmer of the capiz finish, and feel like it compliments our ornaments well.
