Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

02/05/2013 By Bre

5 Feb
I am so happy to have my computer back!!
Sigh of relief ๐Ÿ™‚
It was a good thing I brought it in, because it was on the brink of
destruction which would have been a
disaster!
But thankfully she’s back and purring like a pro!
Such a treat,
and speaking of treats, I wanted to share this yummy dessert
with all of you.
Do you ever get tired of bringing the same old boring brownies for
dessert somewhere, but don’t quite feel
like making 7-layer bars, or don’t even know what to bring
instead, but you still want it to be in the WOW factor!
I love what Ina says:
“No one will really remember what you made for dinner,
but they will always remember what you
made for dessert!”
I always keep that in mind when I’m hosting, or bringing a dessert somewhere.
Well Look No Further Friends:

I found this recipe on Pinterest…. where else?!!
I like to consider myself a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur,
it is my favorite form of dessert!
And these did not disappoint people ๐Ÿ™‚
It was so quick, so easy!
This is my new go to.
You can go here to find the original post,
but here are the ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chocolate graham crackers, crushed.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted.
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup caramel bits ( I used toffee!)
3/4 cup hazelnuts
I used an 8×8 baking dish, to ensure the gooey factor,
bake at 350 for about 25 minutes,
and let it sit for about 5-10
(just enough to firm up).
Then I served them with vanilla ice cream!

YUM!
Are you drooling yet?
Well I hope you enjoy this quick easy treat.
If you are staying in for Valentines Day, I think it would be
the prefect sweet treat for your sweetie!
Also, if you follow me on Instagram,
then you’ve seen what we have been up to over here,
I will be sharing more on that this week!

Yay! Happy to have you back! And that dessert bar really does scream ‘WOW”. I’m hosting a Valentine’s breakfast, but I may have to send my guests home with a slice of this! Thanks for the recipe.

So glad you are back! Ok I am going to try this one…we like everything chocolate around here and we could always use a new spin on things! Looks amazing! Question for you….I’m worried about my Mac as well. It has been running slow…what were the signs that something wasn’t right because I would hate to lose my file?!?!

Thanks!!! I’m so happy to be back too!! I think you will really like it.. especially with the toffee bits.. ohh I love it! ok.. so things I started to notice on my Mac were taking a long time to load web pages on the internet, anytime I tried to edit photos (I use picmonkey, and sometimes do things on photobucket) It would run really slow, and then eventually I was just start getting the rainbow wheel all the time, not matter what I was doing. Hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚ Good Luck! ~Bre
