Today I’m finally getting a chance to share with you
some change ups we did to the
back when we got our christmas tree!
I know, I know.. a little delayed,
but hooray for finally getting these pics up π
If you follow me on InstagramΒ you may remember this pic:
Yes, very blurry Instagram photo π |
Yes this is me at 8:30 at night deciding that the living room needs to be re-arranged
in order to put the christmas tree where I want too ;p
{Hubby was in the shower π }
Then on Facebook you may remember me asking the next day
if I should switch out to my White Slip covers,
{which hadn’t seen daylight since my son was 6 months old}.
Thank you to those who repsonded,
everyone said YES!
That was all it took, and the switching out process took place π
You may have noticed some of the changes
when I showed you our Living Room
but here’s a closer look, and without all the christmas decor.
I switched out the navy & white striped sofa cover, for my white one.
Then to change it up a bit more, I swapped out the white curtains for some
navy & white ticking striped ones that were currently in our bedroom.
A quick switch, that is so nice to be able to do,
{which also showed me the benefit of carrying the same decor theme through your entire house}.
I had been ready for a while for something different for a coffee table,
so bringing Grandpa’s chest down from our bedroom was a no-brainer!
I love having a piece of family history,
along with a great look.
You may remember in the christmas pics I had that fantastic red
Rockwood crate on top all festive for christmas.
Well, when the christmas decor got put away,
I swapped it out for basket tray I already had, and some neutral accessories.
Along with re-arranging and switching out some accessories,
the room still has the same feel and I think look,
although it feels a bit refreshed.
Here’s a quick look from before & after:
I also added this adorable new throw pillow,
that was a christmas present from the hubby π
He may have had a little help picking it out,
I’ve had my eye on it for quite a while!!
Β If you’ve read my recent post about our sofa woesΒ
than you know we are currently looking into replacing our
Ikea Ektorp sofa, because while it still looks nice on the outside,
the inside (i.e. the non-existant filling) has
seen better days π
I will keep you posted how that turns out,
I’m also itching to paint.
I know I know.. one thing at a time,
but will make sure to update along the way!
Also I will be announcing the winner to yesterday’s
this afternoon!!
Happy Friday!
