Sorry I’ve been a little mia lately. September has been a busy month for us, but I’m happy to say that things are finally calming down. You may have seen on Instagram some peaks of a wedding I decorated for this past sat. I had a lot of fun writing up wedding themed chalkboards, and decorating the venue. I hope to share some of those details on here soon. But for today I’m sharing with you a friends gorgeous colorful home. I persuaded her back in August to let me come and take some quick photos, and today I’m sharing those with you.
Coming in through their front entry you are
greeted right away with a bold pop of red.
To the left is their formal living room,
that I love to sit in and gaze around the room at all her decor.
She always seems to have the perfect amount of vintage finds, and fun trinkets
to keep your interest going for days.
Through the back door is the sweetest screened in porch, that is decorated just as
lovely as the rest of her house.
To the right of the front entryway is cozy den, lined with built in bookcases.
Her husband is one of the most talented painters, and in his free time paints memories captured in family pictures. I look forward to their christmas card every year because it’s always one of his paintings from that year. It’s a new piece of artwork every year.
A giant chalkboard calendar leads the way into the kitchen from the den, where bold pops of color continue throughout the fresh retro styled kitchen.
Off the back of the kitchen is breakfast nook, overlooking the backyard.
Just past the breakfast nook, is this cheery little landing to the back entrance.
Also off the kitchen is her lovely dining room, painted in the most perfect light shade of lilac, with lots of bold pops of candy apple green, and black.
Hope you enjoyed taking the tour!!
And thank you to my dear friend Wendy,
for letting me share her lovely home!!!

What a beautiful home. I sometimes am afraid to use a lot of color and that it might not match right…this inspires me to be yourself and have fun with colors. I especially like her dining room! 🙂

Oh my goodness, I’m afraid if I were visiting I’d miss most of the conversation because the decor is so wonderful to look at. The lighting is beautiful along with all the neat things she’s put together. I love all the colors too. 🙂
