Fall Porch and New Outdoor Lanterns

It’s been a long time since you guys have seen the outside of my house. A Long Time! HA HA. I love the outside, but am working on my green thumb. One time of the year though my green thumb thrives is mum season. Mums like me, I like them! They are easy for me to maintain, and forgive quickly if I forget to water them 🙂 I wish my kids were that forgiving if I forgot to feed them, but no, they get in my face all day long and ask for food, I swear I really do feed them 🙂 
For fall, I love to flood my porch with mums and pumpkins. We have a long farmers porch leading up to our side entrance, that we use for our main entrance, and I love greeting guests and visitors with cheery mums along the way!

The last time you saw this porch we decided to paint it black! I’m still so happy we did, it pops so nicely against the all white farmhouse, and maintains such a classic feel.

Over the summer we snagged this parsons bench at a yard sale, and you got to see the before & after on Instagram as I spray painted it black from its original wood finish.

The newest addition to our exterior are these gorgeous new lanterns from Kenroy Home!
I am so excited to share them with you. I really wanted something elegant, and grand, but still have a historic feel to them, and these were just what I was hoping for.

I love the arch swirl on the top, and the body of the lantern resembles the old gas lanterns you would see on estates. For our side entrance I chose the medium size lantern, which also provides ample light at night in our country setting.

We chose the large lantern for the front door. 
It certainly has a grand presence!

It pops so nicely against the white siding, and really adds the extra umph the front was lacking. 
I love the extra touch it gives our curb appeal, as well as going with the historic feel of our home.

Have you visited Kenroy Home yet yourself? Not only do the offer some fabulous outdoor lights, but they have one of the largest selections I’ve seen for indoor lamps and chandeliers. Their barn light pendants had me swooning and I’m sure you would be too!

    Your home is absolutely gorgeous! Even more so now that you’ve added the fall touches. I love how contrasting the flowers are with the pristine whiteness of the walls. Those large lanterns just blew me away. Thanks so much for sharing your house pictures this season! I hope everyone is in the best of health!
