Well today is Day 5, the last day of the week long series of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. You know how the saying goes, “They saved the best for last”, well I fully believe that is the case here. I am so excited for today, the grand finale!! I have some wonderful friends joining me to show you their tables as well. This post is kind of like photo overload so let’s jump right in!
Like all the tables before, we start with a clean slate, an empty table. First I layered runners, by placing a cream colored table runner down, and then layered folded burlap sacks on top (the same ones seen on Day 3, just laid out differently).
I added my largest pieces first. A silver platter in the middle, and then some mercury glass hurricanes on either side, as well as a mercury glass pumpkin.
Next for height I staggered mercury glass candle sticks, off set from the hurricanes.
Now for some added texture. I placed eucalyptus branches around the hurricanes and candle sticks, for fullness and to break up all the mercury glass.
To finish things off I placed a large cinderella pumpkin in the middle of the table.
I added smaller mercury glass votives on the out skirts of the table for additional sparkle.
For each place setting, I used the same china set you’ve been seeing all week,
and my grandmothers silverware.
I finished off each place setting with a mercury glass votive, and a striped straw for a fun touch.
Can I just tell you, this table took my breath away when I stepped back to admire my completed process. It was just screaming at me to light all the candles, so that’s exactly what I did next.
I love a candle lit dinner, and this one was boasting with ambiance.
To create an extra serving area, I love utilizing trays to create additional space. Bringing in a 3-tiered tray gives me additional space vertically without taking up more space on my buffet.
The perfect coffee and hot chocolate bar set up. Not only is everything I need in one spot, which is easy for guests to help themselves, with a cute handle on top, I could easily transport it into the living room if guests choose to relax on the couch after filling their tummies. This wooden tiered tray is the perfect size to fill as an additional serving area. It’s from the Painted Fox, an adorable online boutique loaded with farmhouse style treasures, and I adore it’s weathered finish, and patina look. It’s a nice break from the tiered baskets you see everywhere.
And now if that wasn’t fun enough!! I have some amazing friends who have joined me for a fantastic grouping of inspiration to your hearts content.
Make sure you visit these amazing bloggers and their wonderful Thanksgiving Tablescapes as well :

I am loving this idea. I would love to know where you got the eucalyptus!
Bre says
I found it at my local florist. But have also found it to be hit or miss 🙂 My best advice would be to ask for it specifically, and they will tell you when they have it, or if they can get it 😉

Hi Bre!
I always drool over your dinning room but this is over the top pretty!
What I really love though, is how it looks so amazing and complex but when you break it down for everyone, it’s super simple. Such talent!
