Welcome back to Day 4 !! I’m so glad you guys are enjoying this just as much as I am, and we are one day closer to the Grand Finale tomorrow, with 13 of my friends!! If you are just joining in, you can catch up here with Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.
Just like before, I start with a cleared off table. A clean slate. Todays Tablescape theme is all about wheat! I paired it with mixed metals, and warm metallic hues to compliment the wheats natural color.
I started first by completely covering my table with a cream table cloth. Then started with my center first. I placed a tarnished silver serving platter in the middle, with my largest white pitcher in the middle of that and filled it with wheat I purchased from Hobby Lobby. Next I staggered brass candlesticks in different heights on either side.
To emphasize more of the warm golden hue I brought in two smaller farmhouse pitchers (Ikea) filled with wheat on either end, and two copper bells on the right. The larger one was from HomeGoods last year, and the smaller one I found earlier in the fall at a boutique out at the coast.
To fill in the gaps around the candlesticks, I brought in my faux white mini pumpkins, and a mini gold urn at the end with a faux pear placed inside.
To set the table I used my inherited white china set, with a platinum band around each plate, heirloom silverware, and finished each place setting with a faux golden pear.
I know that some people might cringe at mixing metals, but all of mine are in a different condition. Some more polished, while some are more tarnished. I wanted the overall feel to be warm but classy. And I accomplish that look with the warmness in the worn metals and classy in the shiny accents.
Below you can see all the metals mixed together, and how everything flows together.
To tie in the decor on my buffet, I brought in warm wood tones and
more wheat to compliment the table.
I layered bread boards, added touches of wheat, more vintage silver, and of course my turkey!
I love the feel of autumn in this tablescape, and the warm embrace you feel is something that family will surely want to gather around!
Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day!! The grand finale, and it will be full of lovely tablescapes by some of my favorite blogging friends, and my very favorite table I saved for last! You will not want to miss it!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love this! I picked up those same candle holders at a flea market recently and now I’ve been seeing them everywhere! What candlesticks do you use? The ones I’ve found are all too big and don’t seat properly :[
