How to Create a Farmhouse Dining Room

07/21/2015 By Bre

It’s no secret that I love farmhouse decor. Well farmhouse anything really. It’s my favorite style because of it’s relaxed vibe and comfortable appeal. It’s no fuss, casual feel draws you in and makes you want to sit and stay awhile. I shared a little bit at Haven about my thoughts and design plan that went into how we created our dining room, which I can’t wait to share more of Haven with you all soon, but today I wanted to share a fun way you can shop our look! I’ve teamed up with Painted Fox to join their summer sale series, currently going on, and picked some of my favorite farmhouse decor items that I love to decorate with. I thought it would be fun to show you how I have some of these items incorporated into my own home.

Some of my key elements are classic white plates for the table or your walls. I love layering them with rustic twig chargers for added texture and a fun element to add to any table. A rustic wood and tin three tiered tray is so multifunctional. You can use it for added decor to hold all of your serving pieces. You can set it up as a coffee or hot chocolate station when entertaining, or to hold fixings when hosting, the vertical trays offers you extra serving space when space is limited on a table or buffet. I also use this in my office to hold supplies I like to have out on hand but don’t want a cluttered desk. Its the perfect utilitarian piece. To keep things casual in the dining room I also like to choose casual furniture and statement pieces. This wood and metal chandelier feels casual with it’s distressed wood, but also adds class with it’s classic chandelier shape! To shop these items, you can visit all my “favorites” over at Painted Fox and I hope you feel inspired to add a little farmhouse flair into your living space. I hope you enjoyed these farmhouse tips, and make sure you use code: roomsforrent to receive 25% off your purchase, sale ends this week!
