It’s fun to switch things up, and move things around isn’t it?! I’ve mentioned before, our dining room was the first room I painted in our house, it’s a beautiful medium toned warm gray called Woodsmoke by Glidden. It was one of the Better Homes & Gardens color picks for 2011, the year we bought our house, and I’m still loving it just as much as when I first painted it. So while I haven’t had an itch to paint it, changing up the wall decor keeps things fresh and new. I think it’s no secret that I love antlers. So these new antler wall hangings are the perfect blend of rustic and vintage.
Etsy is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop for prints and artwork to hang on the wall. Society 6 is another great source to find personal, unique artwork. When creating a meaningful home, finding artwork that really speaks to you, or reflects your style is a great way to show your personality when decorating.
I love these vintage style posters from Jessica over at Vol.25. Honestly it’s hard just picking one style that you like, she has so many cute prints, herbs, succulents, botanicals, each one just as yummy as the first.
I chose vol. 1 and vol. 2 of the Antler study in the large Science poster category. Each one is printed on a heavy canvas, that adds great texture to any space.
I love the simple vintage vibe it gives. It’s a great way to cover a large wall space without feeling like you are stuck with only picture frames, or store made art you just aren’t feeling. It’s an unexpected way to add interest with a classic look that’s pleasing to the eye.
You can see how I painted these stripes here, but I do have an itch to change those up, so I have a feeling they won’t be around much longer 🙂
Also don’t forget, **early registration** is going on now for the Art of Home online course. You can read all about the class here and to sign up! I hope you will join me to be refreshed and inspired in your own home!

I love the way she put the wood bands at the top and bottom and hung with the cord — really gives them personality, and makes them a perfect match for your decor.
P.S. Just found your blog last week from City Farmhouse and love your decorating style!
