You guys, I cannot believe it is Friday already! Man this week flew by, with great excitement I might add!! I’m so excited because I have some fun fall posts for you starting next week, and the weeks to follow after that! Since I’m still on crutches it’s taken me a bit longer to get in the groove of “back to school”. I posted an update earlier this week on the status of my broken foot on IG, but if you missed it on there. I saw the Dr. last week and while we are still early on in the game, he said that things are looking great! So I go back in a couple of weeks for follow up x-rays to determine the fate of the crutches! The boot, I’m sad to say, will still be kicking around for a bit, but I am ready for these hobbling days to be over! A few weeks back I had the joy of being interviewed by Jeanne Oliver, whom I now call friend! She is such a joy, and we have so many similarities, AND we can TALK! LOL!!
Our interview time was expected to be short, but ended up being over an hour! ummm yeah! However, we had SO much fun! She has it live on her site, for all to see. And it was so nice to be able to share my heart with her, and all of you who will be seeing it. We talked about life, and the blog. How I started my business, and any advice I would give to someone wanting to start, or maybe just in the beginning months of birthing your own business. We talked about the Art of Home, an upcoming online class, and what we will be sharing. And can I just tell you this. There is something to be said about connecting with someone when you are watching them on video! I don’t care if it’s live or not, if you’ve joined me on Periscope before than you know what I’m talking about, you’ve felt that connection. It’s so much deeper than just reading someones words on a screen. I highly, highly, highly encourage you to visit Jeanne’s site and check it out. Even if you can’t watch the whole thing, because you will need a serious cup of coffee to watch the entire thing {not that we will put you to sleep, but you’re going to want to get comfy!}, I encourage you stop by and see what I mean, and get a taste of what the Art of Home will be all about. If you are still wondering what this amazing class will be like. It’s an online course, that you can watch at your own pace, all about some of the lost arts of caring for your home and family. Each week will contain step by step videos with decorating, cooking, gardening, entertaining, house keeping and more! To recap the four weeks are :
Week 1 | Farm to Table – This week is all about gardening, and preserving food.
Week 2 | Gathering – This week is all about opening your home and creating a space where people feel loved and special.
Week 3 | Domestic Moxie – This week is all about creative and fun ways to keep your home.
Week 4 | Reclaimed Style – This week is all about using what you have and finding new uses for found objects.
