I had plans for a post on Wednesday, and today, however this week had other plans. Don’t you love it when life does that? You make all these plans, and finally feel like you are ahead of the game, and then life decides that it’s going to go differently than you had perfectly planned out at the end of last week. In earlier blogging days I would be stressing, and when I say stressing, I mean tossing and turning a night thinking I have failed at blogging! Boy, am I glad we are not in those early days anymore. When I shared with you guys recently how I came up with the name for the blog HERE, those early days are the ones I’m talking about. When you first start and see how other people are blogging consistently every week, some even EVERY.SINGLE.DAY! Ummm yah, about that. After trying to do that, epically failing, and realizing I needed to come to grips with the type of blogger I was going to be. I let go of the expectation I put on myself in the beginning, and started just allowing myself to blog when life allowed it.
That meant taking the summers off the first two years I started blogging while I soaked up family time, and days at the beach with my babies. I think when you blog about something you love and are passionate about it’s hard not to want to do it all the time, however when you have significant other people in your life, and people who rely on you to feed them (A-Hem), blogging sometimes has to wait. I don’t know why I just said all that, but maybe one of you reading this needs to give yourself some grace. Speaking from personal experience, no matter how often you blog, if you remain true to yourself you can’t go wrong.
So I’m just popping in today real quick to tell you about a couple exciting things that are going on, that I didn’t want you to miss out on! I needed to hear that today! Sometimes I get so caught up in trying to post consistently, but family always needs to be the number one priority. Thank you for that reminder. xo

I believe that you are simply amazing and oh how I can relate! I do not blog, but I go for days without posting an instagram pic for my followers simply because life gets busy. Everyone understands that some days God just needs us to be focused on other priorities. I admire you Bre.

I’m so glad! It’s hard not to feel pressure to keep up, but I think balance is key. And staying true to whatever is a realistic schedule for each and every one of us 🙂
