Every day this week a handful of bloggers will share a different room in their home. As we tour all through the house, so you will want to be sure to follow the tour each day, to see which new bloggers are sharing their room for that day! Sounds fun right?!

Well, you know the rest of the story.†
Welcome to our homes…
Today we are kicking things off, sharing our Foyer’s and/or Porch spaces. I thought I’d show you a little bit of both, since you only got a sneak peak of these in my Christmas Tour last week .
We are patently waiting for snow. It’s very rare for us to enter into December without at least a little coating of snow on the ground. However, our winters can tend to feel like they last forever here in the Northeast, so I’m somewhat ok with getting a late start on the snow.
Since I wanted our pretty wreaths to get as much attention as possible, I kept the porch pretty simple.
I added this sweet little console table the hubby and I made. It normally sits at the bottom of our staircase, but you’ll see why I did a little switch in a second. I love the look of little christmas trees everywhere. So I placed two different sized faux trees on top of the table, alone with some faux greens underneath and an antique sled. The larger tree on top of the table, you can find HERE, and I love their quality and texture. They are really sturdy, so I knew it could handle being outside.
At the bottom of our front stair case, I brought the bench in that normally sits on the porch where you saw the table.
It made a great little landing spot to spread some pretty packages for more holiday cheer. I used a fresh bay leaf garland, draped up our staircase, I’ve always loved the look of it, and think it’s such a great way to add a Christmas touch as people walk through the front door.
I hope you have enjoyed our porch and foyer area, and make sure to stop by the rest of the ladies sharing their porch and foyers with you today as well. I hope you enjoy each of the rooms shared throughout this week.

Loved seeing your porch! We have a narrow front and back porch on our old farmhouse which is not the usual seen in posts. The wreaths are so pretty; I love the larger size. No snow here yet and still in the 50’s.

Such a beautiful porch! I was surprised to notice that you have the same posts as we do on our 1893 farmhouse’s porch. We are going to have to totally rebuild our porch because 122 years of Kansas weather has taken its tole. So glad I found your blog and this inspirational post. I hope our farmhouse will look half as beautiful as yours someday!

Bre,
That porch is so fabulous. I love the Bay leaf Garland too. I’m ordering something very similar to that in January for a wedding reception I’m hosting at my home. I’m so glad I got to see it displayed in a beautiful home so I could see what it looks like. Thanks for sharing.

Bre, I’m surprised at no snow yet. The weather is a bit strange these days. Love the simple touches outside and the warmth inside. Perfect switch with the table and bench.
