Thank you so much for all your kind words in regards to our exciting feature!! It’s so fun to celebrate goals I’ve had since I started blogging with all of you! Today I have a fun bedroom themed blog hop for all of you! Camila from Effortless Style Interiors put together this fun tour with one challenge – refreshing our bedrooms! I was so excited because I shared with you the other day, that since refreshing our living room, I’ve had the itch to refresh more spaces around our home. So I’m teaming up with 7 other bloggers, in partnership with Crane & Canopy, to spruce up our bedrooms. At the end of each post will be the next blogger to visit, so you can tour each space if you like. Crane & Canopy also asked us some fun questions, as a fun way to get to know us better, so I thought I would sprinkle them in throughout today’s post. Enjoy!!
For our Master Bedroom, I tend to stick to neutrals. My go-to inspiration would always be a cozy new england bed & breakfast, or something with a cottage-y feel. I keep things feeling fresh by mixing crisp white bedding with rustic wood tones for a bit of charm and character to add that farmhouse feel. I think balance is key, so while there is a lot of white in our bedroom, wood tones, and pieces with character keep it from feeling sterile.
Crane & Canopy asks :
- OK, so tell us the truth how many throw pillows are actually in your bed? 1? 5? more? – So there are 3 in the front, 3 in the back that act as our headboard, and we each sleep with 2. Not sure if that’s 6, or all together 10?!
- What’s your favorite show or book to read before you go to bed? – We tend to be either movie watchers or series binging. I can’t just watch one show, so I have to wait until a few are saved up and then watch 2-3 before we go to bed.3. For a cozy bed, proper bedding is a must. What is your favorite bedding company and why? – I have such a hard time picking favorites. I can’t even pick a favorite food, or a favorite song. However I do have go-to’s when it comes to making a bed. I like a lot of layers. Our temperatures can fluctuate a lot here in the Northeast, so bedding that can adjust to the climate outside is a must. I go back to my inspiration for looks. I’ll never forget this bed & breakfast I stayed at in Martha’s Vineyard. It was total New England, with a white pick-stitch quilt, a cozy down comforter, and the softest white sheets. Seriously you would sink in the bed, and curl up under the covers, and never want to get up! That’s what I want to feel every time. Our Cloud Quilt is so silky soft, and has the perfect weight. It’s great for summer nights, or layered with our down comforter during the cold winter months. For a retreat like feel in our bedroom, I always layer on the pillows and add a throw blanket. Even if they don’t all get used at night, they make me feel relaxed the moment I walk in our room and plop down on our bed.
4. What’s your wake up call in the morning? An old school alarm clock? Your phone? Your kids? Your pet? It varies. If I set my alarm it’s with my phone. But if I hit the snooze button, and decide to roll back over for another hour, I get a tiny tap on the shoulder asking me for breakfast.
5. Favorite breakfast in bed meal? – Hmmm… that’s a tough one. Just getting to stay in bed is a treat. I would have to say COFFEE is a must 🙂 French toast, with eggs & bacon, and getting to watch HGTV on tv would be my ideal choice.
That was so much fun!! A special thanks to Camila for hosting, and to Crane & Canopy for the beautiful bedding, and the fun questions! Next stop on the tour is Amy from The Idea Room. I can’t wait to check it out!!

Peaceful master bedroom.. You have decorated this bedroom so well. I also redecorated our master bed room recently. I think I made make a huge difference without making it hard or spending a lot of money. It’s essential that the master bedroom provides you with an atmosphere that is inviting, warm and comforting.
