There I said it! I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day. If you’ve been around the blog for a little while, you may remember me talking about decorating “Seasonally” and not so much for each holiday. It’s true though sometimes I will bring out a holiday specific item, like our Tom the turkey for Thanksgiving, but otherwise I just can’t bring myself to doing it. I’m not sure why either, I feel like I put a lot of stress on myself to maintain our home in other areas, and giving myself the “get out of jail free card” and not having to decorate for every single holiday allows me to take a deep breath and be ok knowing I don’t have to do it all.
I’ve seen other bloggers who decorate for every holiday, and think they do a great job. The more power to them! But I just don’t have it in me. So instead of showing you any Valentine’s Day decor, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite BLUSH colored home decor accessories. I know pink is not a typical color you see around here, but these totally made my heart skip a beat, and I can’t help but love them just a little bit more, especially around this holiday geared specifically towards love.

So take a look, and I’d love to know if any one of these blushing beauties jumped out at you too!

I don’t decorate either, i am widowed so it isn’t a fun holiday for me. I send valentines to my grandchildren, but that is it. I do have a collection of some cute little stuffed hearts that i set out. Have a lovely day.

Oh…I knew you were my kinda gal!
I never decorate for Valentines day. I don’t participate in Valentines day at all. I have been married for 33 years (so far) and I have never made my hubby play that game. No flowers or cards or candy. But as I’m writing this my love is putting away the dishes. Oh, did I mention he is almost full time in a wheel chair so doing such things isn’t so easily done for him. Yesterday he gave me a gift because he just knew when he saw it that it was just what I had been looking for. And he was right. It was a throw rug for the living room. Perfect. It won’t wilt, get me fat or sit on the mantel getting dusty.
Maybe I just have no romance in my heart. But if you really look you will see I have true love in my life.
Blessings to you!

Can I just say you are crowned queen of all bloggers by me for this??? I have such a hard time keeping up with holiday decorating too. I LOVE simple seasonal decorating though. Now I feel quite justified 😀

me neither….not into Valentine’s Day that much. Refreshing that you don’t follow the pact of other bloggers.

I don’t decorate for valentines either, or st paddy’s or Groundhog Day! I only decorate for Fall/Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring/Easter, 4th of July and that is it. And that’s plenty!
