Hello Friends! It’s hard to believe but Mother’s Day is just around the corner. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than gathered around the table. Laughing, sharing memories, and of course taking time to be with one another. I think there is nothing more than moms would rather do, then to sit around the table with the ones you love, and cherish the time spent together. Unless you are a mom of toddlers, and all you want is to be able to go to the bathroom by yourself and a nap! Believe me, I get it, I’ve been there too, but as my kids get a little older, they love to love on their mama, well anyone for that matter. Through our example they have know the treasure it is to celebrate people and life for the matter. Things bigger than just stuff! There’s something magical that happens when we gather around the table, and I love seeing their faces light up when I start pulling out the fancy silverware and plates. So today I’m teaming up with some of my favorite gal-pals as we share a mothers day themed tablescape, and I went all pretty in pink.
Even though I don’t decorate with pink, I love bringing the soft hue in with flowers. Sometimes bright pinks too, but nothing gets me more than a delicate petal pink.
I went with simple white plates, and white table linens, but then to add a touch of elegance I brought in some gold flatware and brass candlesticks.
I wanted it to feel simple, yet elegant. The mix of materials in the place settings, compliments the mix of florals I used to create the centerpiece. I kept things light and subtle so those pretty pink rannuculus could take center stage.
I tend to always turn our sideboard into a serving station when entertaining. It just makes things easier when you have a designated space to set up a drink station, or a self serve station.
I’ll be honest this cute little french bottle of pink rose’ was my inspiration for this entire tablescape. I picked it up from WholeFoods a few weeks ago, and have been tempted to open it – lol!
Whether you are dining in, eating out, hosting, or going to some one else’s house, I hope you take some time to celebrate life, celebrate family, and of course mom!
