Hello Friends!!
I love to decorate with pumpkins for fall. To me it’s the easiest way to add some fall touches around your home. There are so many different ways you can decorate with them, whether you group them, or place just one on top of some stacked books. The possibilities are endless. I always get asked about what to put on your table during fall, that you can also use for Thanksgiving, so I rounded up 10 different pumpkin centerpiece ideas for your table. They range from the simplest ideas all the way to an elaborate tablescape, but I think there will be something in here for everyone!
Come take a look ~
It doesn’t take much to create this simple stacked pumpkin centerpiece. Just gather a few pumpkins at your next trip to the grocery store and create this centerpiece that will last you all the way up to Thanksgiving. I shared a quite tutorial on the types of pumpkins you want to use to complete this look – HERE.
#2. Layered Pumpkins with Eucalyptus
Similar to the idea above, but expanding just a little bit, I started with two stacked pumpkins in the center. Using a variety of different sized pumpkins and ornamental squash I tapered out the arrangement to scatter down the center of the table. I filled in the gaps with seeded eucalyptus for a lush centerpiece that only took 10 minutes!
See the entire tablescape HERE.
I love adding details to make each guest feel welcome when they come and have a seat at my table. Whether you choose to use mini white pumpkins, or small orange pumpkins, or a fun gourd – adding a pumpkin to each place setting is an extra way to tell whoever sits there that they belong.
Candles always have just the right touch for adding ambience and making any table feel cozier. Even the most simple of centerpieces feel elegant when candles are lit all around. If your centerpiece feels a little sparse, or your table feels like its lacking, adding in some taper candles is a great way to add in warmth, and fill any space with warmth.
#5. Cake Stand Pumpkin Centerpiece
Add some height to your centerpiece with the addition of candlesticks and a cake stand. These pieces help elevate my otherwise simple centerpiece on my table by using a cake stand in the center, and placing a pumpkin on it.
Then, on either side I brought in candlesticks, and placed them diagonally across from each other. I filled in around them with additional pumpkins and squash, and then filled in the gaps with seeded eucalyptus just like I showed in the previous table. You can see more of this table HERE.
#6. Roasting Pan Tray Centerpiece
Often times people always ask “Where does the food go” when you have a table decorated so pretty for fall and the holidays. I purposely created this centerpiece in a roasting pan for a seasonal twist, that is easy to take off the table once it’s time for the food to come out! Creating a centerpiece in a tray or like in the one above – a roasting pan, makes it easy to clear the table in no time. Then when you are done eating, simply place the tray back on the center of your table to easily put things back together. You can see the entire fall tablescape HERE.
#7. Mini “Baby-Boo” Pumpkins Scattered Around
I love mini white pumpkins! Don’t tell the others, but I think they are my favorite pumpkin of all. Sometimes only using a few smaller pumpkins adds just the touch of fall to your table. Here I added mini white pumpkins on either side of my floral arrangement to emphasize the feeling of fall throughout the table. Even tiny white pumpkins can make an impact when scattered throughout. See the entire tablescape HERE.
#8. Monochromatic Pumpkin Centerpiece
I’m referring to this centerpiece as a “monochromatic” one because I stuck with the same three colors and repeated them in different tones throughout the entire table. This simple arrangement of white and muted orange pumpkins is appealing for anyone who loves neutral fall decor. You could use all the same color pumpkin, or stick with repeating just two colors for a minimalist approach. See the whole tablescape HERE.
#9. Pumpkin Floral Centerpiece
What pumpkin centerpiece round up would not be complete without using a pumpkin as an actual vase for your centerpiece. I shared the tutorial HERE, for how I created this pumpkin centerpiece last year, and this one truly is a show stopper. Plus a fun treat if you are hosting would be to play a game so that the winner gets to take this beautiful pumpkin home with them! I really is quite east to make, and is a beautiful way of incorporating a pumpkin on your table. See the entire tablescape HERE.
#10. Neutral Pumpkin Centerpiece
Using all the same colored pumpkins is an easy way to create a centerpiece without having to worry if your pumpkins go together. Sometimes just the simplicity of not having to wonder if you chose the right pumpkins for your centerpiece is just the thing to ease your mind. When you use pumpkins in all the same color, you take out the guess work or if they match, or how many of each color should you use. Add in some cozy texture, or a little bit of candle light, and you are good to go!

I love the photo of your living room and entryway. I found the post that shows the living room painted in BM Halo. What color is the entryway? Thanks!

Hi Lori! Thank you so much!! I repainted our living room White Heron by Benjamin Moore about two years ago. (If you want you can read the post here – https://roomsforrentblog.com/2016/02/how-to-pick-white-paint/) My hallway is painted Hazy Skies, also by Benjamin Moore. It’s beige, but def. has a stronger gray undertone compared to others that are more yellow or tan ๐

Hi Bre, thanks for sharing this lovely post. I love looking at pictures of beautiful seasonal/holiday home decorating, whether it be a centerpiece, tablescape or an entire home. I’m inspired and amazed by people’s vision and creativity. For myself, I have to keep holiday decorating to a minimum. Living with the “extras” day after day causes me to feel overwhelmed, maybe a bit claustrophobic. My sweet husband dearly loves holiday home decor and I will NOT deny him.
Your Simple Stacked Pumpkins centerpiece spoke to my heart and head, to me, it is perfect! I love the soft, soothing colors and the quiet surprise of your mercury glass votive and darling ceramic pumpkin salt and pepper shakers. Your creativity shines in the simplicity of this centerpiece, I am inspired.

Judith I am so thrilled to hear that!!! I think for me it always depends on what kind of mood I’m in, and how much energy I have to create something lol. Sometimes just the simple stacked pumpkins is all I need, or can muster up the energy to create. I love that it’s simple yet makes a subtle fall statement ๐ So glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you will grab some pumpkins this weekend !
