Yes, you are reading that title correctly! Friends I am going to WACO! I’m seriously in a bit of shock and awe myself, like please somebody pinch me, can this be a reality, but YES I will be heading to Waco, TX next week to attend Magnolia Markets Silobration event with Kilz brand paint. I seriously cannot believe it, even as I am typing these words, that this small town girl from NH, gets to visit Magnolia Market during the Silobration event, and hang out with my favorite paint line to top things off!!
Did you know that Kilz has a booth at Silobration?? The have the most gorgeous paint line with Joanna Gaines called “Magnolia Home Paint”, and if you’ve been following the blog you know I’ve used their paints in the last couple of projects I’ve done including the makeover in our son’s bedroom HERE. And most recently the new darker, moodier paint color in our Master Bedroom HERE.
I am so excited to be joining Kilz on this amazing adventure, and honestly still can’t even believe it! I have followed Chip & Joanna’s journey from Day 1, since before they filmed their pilot episode and Jo was just blogging like the rest of us, and I am SO excited to be able to see first hand their amazing accomplishment of turning the Silo’s into their new Magnolia Headquarters.
I’m alittle nervous that this northern girl will be sweated out by the Texas heat, and the excitement that will be swirling around the grounds with all things celebrating Silobration, but what I’m most looking forward too is meeting the amazing team at Kilz, checking out all the vendors that will be there. Strolling through the infamous Magnolia Market shop, and soaking in all the creative refreshment from being on the grounds. Seriously I think I just want to stand in the middle of it all and just stare at the scenery and soak it all in. Can you picture me doing that? lol
I’m so excited to be invited to this event by Kilz, and can’t wait to come back and share everything with all of you. So I want to know have you made the trip to Waco yet to visit Magnolia Market?? What do you want to know about it? What the grounds are like? What Silobration is like? Do you want to see inside the store? The bakery? Tell me! I want to make sure I document it all to share with you! I will be sharing LOTS on my Instagram stories while I’m there, so be sure you are following me on Instagram as well!
Stay in touch!

Enjoy Waco. My two daughters and I were there the first week of September and it is fabulous!!! I hope you get a chance to go to Magnolia Table and have one of their wonderful breakfasts. Of course we had to have an order of biscuits with the strawberry butter. I brought some home to share with my hubby. And the bakery! What can I say other than it was soooooo delicious. Everyone there was so friendly and had only the best things to say about Chip and Joanna. Have fun

Bre, first of all, I love your blog. I hope you have a nice, safe trip!
Maybe do us New Englanders proud and wear a Patriots or Red Sox hat (or Bruins or Celtics…we’re so great at all the sports) ! And be proud of your wicked cool Boston accent!

Exciting! It’s all amazing and fun! and the displays at the Magnolia Market and Magnolia Seed and Supply are so inspiring. Be sure to eat a cupcake at the Magnolia Bakery! The crepe food truck serves some pretty awesome food, too. Get frozen custard at Katie’s! Magnolia Table was open yet when I was there. Waco has some other cool shopping, as well, and landmarks that you will recognize from the TV show that are fun photo ops. A side trip to see Jimmy Don’s JDH Ironworks is fun (He’s so hospitable!), and you will pass The Gaines’ farm on the way. Also, Clint Harp’s studio is worth a look see. If you have enough time and means to get there, Round Top, Texas has great vintage shopping.

You won’t sweat. It’s finally cooling down in Texas. If rain is in the forecast bring a raincoat and maybe rain boots. The rain has been coming down in buckets. The silos are fun and you’ll be inspired. Congratulations. That’ is awesome. I hope you get to meet Chip and Jo. I met him during the first season before things exploded.
Bre says
Ohh that is SO good to know!! Thank you 🙂

Ive just recently started following some wonderful bloggers like yourself though. Im from the south so yes it’s going to still be hot in Texas so prepare yourself. You may have some cooler mornings and evenings this time of year though. I can’t wait to see what all you have to share with us when you get back! Take lots of pictures of the silos being I’m so curious what all they’ve done to them. I hope you have a great time and learn a lot. Keep us posted!

My best friend and I were so lucky to be in Waco the first day the Silo store opened, their unannounced soft opening. Sidewalks were still being poured.! We were the second and third people through the door and also had our picture taken with Chip and Jo! A great day for sure!!
