Hello friends!! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week!! I had every intention of getting this post out yesterday, but we are in the home stretch of finishing up at my hubby’s new office space, and our beginning to move in today! So every spare moment was spent finishing up over there. I am so excited to share this weeks Farmhouse Style | Home Tour with you though, because she is another fellow New Englander, and her home is the quintessential New England style farmhouse! Take a look~
I got to meet Jess in person this past fall, which is always a treat to meet someone in real life that you follow and admire on Instagram. She is so down to earth, and we had a great time chatting the night away.
Off the main house they have an attached barn that has been finished into this beautiful family room with a loft space upstairs. The exposed beams and wide plank wood floor add so much warmth to this space, and I just love what Jess has done with it 😉
Some of my favorite views in their family room is the cute little cart bench above and how Jess arranged the picture frames above it.
Along with the view of the ceiling and all the exposed beams, in the photo below.
Every corner just explodes with character, in tiny vignettes, farmhouse details, and the beautiful collection Jess has of vintage pieces.
One thing you might notice, is that Jess has painted all her walls white, but you’ll find her home feels anything but cold or stark. This is because of all the warmth the wood tones add to the space, and other organic textures that Jess decorates with.
The exposed beams continue into the kitchen, and I just love how it looks.
I love her classic kitchen choices of white cabinets and black countertops, with a marble backsplash. It’s farmhouse, but oh-so classic, which gives it such a timeless feel.
She also has a cozy little breakfast nook right off of the kitchen.
Upstairs, eaved ceilings and exposed beams add to the charm of her 1840’s farmhouse, which feels just like home for me, growing up in New England.
She has a cozy sitting area in her master bedroom, where she can sneak away for a quiet moment.
I hope you’ve enjoyed Jess’s Farmhouse Home Tour as much as I have!
