Hello friends!! Fall is in the air here in New England! Our mornings have been crisp, and the evenings even cooler. The leaves are beginning to chance, and I love watching as nature slowly ushers us into this beautiful season. One of the things we love watching change color in our yard, is out limelight hydrangeas! I shared all about them HERE, and as they begin to turn from white to pink and eventually a deep maroon, I wanted to incorporate some into this fall tablescape. Come take a look ~
I love setting up tablescapes out in front of our barn. I’ve shared before how much we love to entertain in our outdoor patio area, especially during this time of the year, and I love how the cedar shakes on our barn creates the perfect backdrop as we celebrate summer coming to an end, and fall beginning.
As I mentioned, our limelight hydrangea bushes have started turning for fall, and I couldn’t wait to clip some to create this beautiful bouquet for the center of my table.
I corralled everything together in this shallow antique crate, I recently got from a friend. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to use it, and when I started gathering things for this tablescape, I knew just how I wanted to incorporate it.
I used an antique maple syrup bucket to hold my flowers, and placed that in the center of the crate. Then I filled in around it with some larger blue pumpkins, and then used some mini white pumpkins to fill in the gaps.
With my leftover mini white pumpkins, I used one on each place setting, acting as a favor for each person to take home. It’s a personal touch, and gives your friends or family a little parting gift to remember the gathering.
I also have a NEW BOOK coming out, October 1st, all inspired by my love for tablescapes called “The Gift of Gathering”. You can read more about it HERE – I’m so excited to share this book with you, and can’t wait for you to see it!

Love the way you elevate the simple to fabulous!
I decided to leave my mop head hydrangeas on the bush and see what happens. Well, the pinky purple ones are now turning a beautiful sage green with soft purple tips!
I see a fall tablescape in their future 😉

Your table setting is beautiful with the hydrangeas and pumpkins. Love your crate too, it’s from the state I live in. We live at the bottom of the state and Wilmington is at the top. Looking forward to fall and the cooler temps.
