Hello friends!! I have to be honest, each year I create a holiday tablescape, I think to myself “this is my favorite”. Even though I have no idea what next years tablescape will look like, I love the current one I just created so much that I think how can it possibly get any better. Then, fast forward a year and it’s time to create another one, and now that one is my new favorite. It just goes to show that no two tablescapes will ever be alike, and you have to create whatever you are currently in the mood for.
With that being said, here is this years Thanksgiving Tablescape ~
This year I was craving something a little simple for thanksgiving. I love how in the fall you can practically add a pumpkin to any surface and it instantly feels like fall.
I took the same simple approach for my tablescape. Letting this large muted orange pumpkin take center stage, I just loved the shape of it, and the simplicity of just allowing pumpkins to be the centerpiece.
While visiting Purple Rose Home last week, I picked up these cute antique wooden risers. I just loved the look of them, and their worn wood patina. I placed one on either side of my larger pumpkin and placed smaller white pumpkins on them.
I also picked up these plates recently, while perusing HomeGoods looking to see if my new book made their shelves, and came across these delicate salad plates with matching bowls.
I placed them on top of larger plates I already had in my china collection, and also brought out the matching stemware from that same collection. I love how elegant the place settings feel, so to keep things relaxed, I “unfolded” my napkins and draped them in between the dinner and salad plate.
My daughter loves to collect leaves right now that are falling in our yard. She tries to find the most vibrant color ones she can, so we placed a leaf in each bowl from her most recent findings in our yard, and I love the added touch of fall it brings to the table.
I could have used my traditional silver flatware, but I decided to add some warmth, and compliment my large muted pumpkin by bringing out me hammered rose gold flatware. It adds a little sparkle to the table, and keeps things feeling fun.
The last thing I added to my table was my antique brass candlesticks. I love the warm glow candlelight adds to a table, and the ambience it brings to any gathering.
I love how adding a simple linen tablecloth makes things feel elegant without being too stuffy. This oatmeal colored one has been my go-to for many years, adding a soft touch to the overall table, without it being too formal.
Remember when you are setting your table, there are no rules. You do what feels right to you, and is pleasing to your eye. What’s important are those gathered around it. I love adding meaningful details – like fall leaves on each place setting – simple yes, but it’s a small added touch that makes each place setting feel personal.

Thanks so much for including me and happy fall to you!
