I think we all know by now just how much I love creating tablescapes, but just in case you don’t know – I LOVE setting a beautiful table, and creating an inviting atmosphere to welcome friends & family into. So much so, that I have an entire section dedicated to Tablescapes on my blog – found HERE. And, I also wrote a book all about creating meaningful tablescapes, which you can find more about – HERE. But you already knew all that, right?! Well, the holidays just so happens to be my favorite time to create tablescapes, so today I’m sharing some Christmas tablescape ideas with you, and who knows, maybe it will inspire you to set a beautiful table this Christmas as well!
Creating tablescapes for me is so much more that just having a grand design. It’s about putting together the tiniest details that welcome our guests to a memorable experience.
Tablescape :
An artistic arrangement of articles on a table.
As I get ready to start pulling out pieces to set the table for our own Christmas Eve dinner, I get so excited with the endless possibilities of what to create. The holidays gives me a chance to pull out my finest pieces, ones that we don’t typically use throughout the year. Creating a Christmas tablescape, and having Christmas Eve dinner together, has quickly become and experience that even my kids look forward to as well!
Here are some favorite Christmas Tablescape Ideas from years past ~

Basement living space….there’s very little natural light and it’s naturally cooler. How do I make up for the lack of windows and the temps?
Bre says
Adding table and floor lamps would be my first go-to. They add light, but also make a space feel cozier. Keeping a basket of throw blankets on hand always helps with the heat too, and maybe adding a small space heater?
