Hello Friends!
So I know you might be reading the title and thinking to yourself, but it’s not Thanksgiving? It’s not even Halloween? And yes you are correct, however I’m sharing my favorite winter greens with you today because these items are typically always sold out by the time we are ready to decorate with them. I’m not suggesting that you start decorating for Christmas now, so don’t worry. But I typically will start buying some of my favorite Christmas decor now. And then I just put it in the basement or tuck it in a closet until I’m ready to start decorating. So today I’m sharing just with you, my loyal e-mail subscribers, my favorite winter greens, these are the pieces I usually get asked about the most when I start to share how I decorated our home for Christmas, but I think they are great for all winter long.

You might remember this wintery scene from our porch last year. It was created entirely with faux greens! My first faux garland I ever purchased from Anthropologie years ago, is the garland I used on the top of the Christmas Tree Farm canvas.
And a new favorite is this real-touch faux garland from Afloral. I scooped up two real quick early on in the season last year, only to find they quickly sold out ๐
After creating this look on our porch, I then brought the garland inside and created this winter garland over the doorway in our kitchen, made entirely out of faux greens and picks!
I used a mix of the real- touch Norfolk pine garland, faux magnolia picks, and a mix of white seeded eucalyptus, and faux ruscus leaves – both from Afloral. I just loved the added pop of contrast that the faux white picks added to this look last year, I duplicated this look on our staircase garland as well.
One trick that I also do sometimes is I will add in real stems to my faux garland just to help enhance it. I swear every time no one can tell if my garland is real or faux. (Shown in both garland looks above and below).
