Hi Friend!!
I think sometimes deciding on what to hang on our walls can be the hardest part. I often get asked where I buy my frames, or find my artwork, so today I’m sharing my favorite frames & artwork with you! What we choose to hang on our walls can say a lot about our personal style, and the artwork we pick is a great way to reflect our own unique style. So if you’ve felt stuck on what to hang or where to look for new pieces to refresh those walls in your home, I hope you find this post helpful!
Let’s Decorate ~
Tip : Collect Frames Over Time
My biggest tip when shopping for frames is to collect them over time when you can. Not only does it spread out the cost, sometimes we can’t find all of the frames we want or need in one shopping trip. I am totally known for grabbing a frame here, or a pair of frames there, focusing on only buying my favorite style of frames. When I’m collecting frames for my wall, I love either the ones with large oversized mats, or using no mat at all in my picture frame. I feel like this allows my artwork to look more custom, less store bought. Like a one-of-a-kind find, or from a high art gallery.
Tip : When Coordinating different sized frames, choose the same finish.
If I’m picking out frames for a small grouping or gallery wall, I like to mix and match the size frames I’m hanging. One of the ways I keep things looking cohesive is by choosing frames in the same finish. This helps things look more purposeful and less random when choosing frames that are different in size.
It’s no secret, my favorite place to look for frames is HomeGoods. I love being able to find nice gallery style frames at an affordable price. When I’m on the hunt for a large frame at a good price, HomeGoods is the first place I’ll go. I look for real wood frames vs. faux wood, in a 11×14 -16×20 size. My next favorite place to shop for frames is Target, which is where most of the frames I shared below are from.
I love being able to change up my artwork seasonally, or as the mood strikes. While some of the artwork in our home stays forever, I love the flexibility of switching up artwork just by ordering new prints. Etsy is my go-to place for a quick artwork change up. I find it helpful when I’m looking to “like” all my favorites, and then go back through the ones I’ve liked to narrow down which ones I like the most.
Tip : You can purchase “Art Print Sets” on Etsy, of printable artwork that are already hand picked and put together, for a curated look without all the guess work. Like the one below ~
Where do I print the Printable Art I can download?
My favorite place to print downloadable artwork is Mpix. It’s also the website where I print out all my family photos as well. If you sign up for their e-mail list you will be notified when they have sales, which is my favorite time to order new larger prints. If I need an 8X10 size or smaller for my frames, then I just use our home printer, and print on card stock, for a more sturdier print.

I had a large framed piece and the glass broke. Never fear! I headed to Goidwill, found a framed piece the same size and swapped out the glass. 5 bucks and good(will) as new!
PS. Howdy, neighbor! I live a couple of miles from your fabulous home!
