Hi Friend!
I love creating a welcoming Thanksgiving table that inspires people to want to come and gather around it. To linger long after the last bite has been taken and dessert has been served. Tablescapes don’t have to be tricky or complicated. This year’s Thanksgiving table is all about creating cozy layers with a warm welcome.

Recently, I have been wanting to add a little more color and pattern into our dining room. I blame it on the fall nesting that inevitably comes every year once our temperatures start to get chilly. I had been trying to find new curtains for our dining room, ones that had a little bit of pattern, but still felt neutral, but was having no luck. I decided to shop my home instead, and swapped out the curtains in our guest room with the exisisting curtains in our dining room, and it was just what I was hoping for. I made these curtains fourteen years ago, and it was the first sewing project I ever did. I’m so glad I held onto them, and still love them just as much today.
For each place setting, I used a wooden charger, a white dinner plate, a monogrammed linen napkin, and a transferware salad plate and bowl. Adding layers to each place setting helps create an inviting look while adding height to your Thanksgiving table. When it comes time to eat, I’ll remove the smaller plates and place them next to the desserts so they are on hand, creating a self-serve station.
In place of a tablecloth, I opted for a cozy flannel blanket. I found this one on Amazon, and it’s the perfect weight—not too thick or bulky—to use as a tablecloth instead. Shop the plaid blanket HERE.
You may have recognized these amber glasses from previous tablescapes I’ve shared. I found them at HomeGoods a few years back, and they are the perfect golden shade to compliment the faux arrangement I used as the centerpiece. Shop similar glasses HERE.
Candlelight is my favorite tablescape staple, especially for the holidays. Candles instantly elevate the feeling of any gathering and are the perfect accessory for making even the simplest of tables feel special. They are my #1 tip for adding instant warmth to any table.

Love the subtle, muted colors of your Thanksgiving table, Bre! Better than a lot of orange! Not one of my most favorite colors. Your color scheme is very relaxing and peaceful to me. Such a nice change from the usual.
