Hi Friends!!
At the beginning of the year, I shared my personal goals, less about doing more and more about creating margin, clarity, and peace in our everyday rhythms. So much of that mindset has been shaped by the books I’ve read over the past several years. After sharing in that post my own personal goal of reading one book a month throughout the entire year, and asking if you’d like me to share what I’ve read, the answer was a resounding “YES”! I’ve combed through my list, and today I’m sharing 10 meaningful books that are some of my all-time favorites.

They aren’t necessarily new releases, but they are deeply meaningful reads that have stood the test of time for me. These are the books that I still think about, reference often, and recommend without hesitation. If you’re craving slower living, healthier boundaries, and space for deeper reflection, you’ll find some true favorites here.

Before diving in, a quick note: these books aren’t listed in any particular order. Each one met me in a different season and left its mark in its own way. Some encouraged me to slow down, others challenged the way I think about productivity and success, and a few helped me set healthier boundaries—both in life and at home. Together, they’ve shaped the rhythms and perspective I continue to carry with me.

Rhythms of Renewal – Rebekah Lyons
I would dare to say that this is the book that started it all. It was gifted to me by a dear friend back in 2018, where I found myself struggling to slow down. I felt like if I slowed down than I was going to miss out. This book catapulted many of the rhythms that I have in my life today and helped me create margin where I needed it most. It’s reshaped how I think about rest—not as something to earn, but as something essential. It’s deeply aligned with my goal of creating healthier daily and seasonal rhythms in our home.
Building a Resilient Life – Rebekah Lyons
A beautiful follow-up to Rebekah’s previous book, this book helped me recognize areas in my life where I have grown after going through difficult seasons, and areas I want to keep pressing into for more growth. Resilience isn’t about pushing through at all costs. This book has encouraged me to tend to emotional and spiritual health with the same care I give to my home—layer by layer, patiently, over time.
Growing Slow – Jennifer Dukes Lee
This one speaks straight to my heart. In a world that celebrates hustle and instant results, Growing Slow affirms my desire to take a gentler, more intentional pace—especially as I work toward long-term home and personal goals. I love Jennifer’s approach in how she mirrors different seasons of life to the changing seasons we see reflected in nature.
Nothing to Prove – Jennie Allen
A powerful reminder that worth isn’t tied to productivity. This has been especially grounding as I reevaluate what I say yes to—and helps me answer the questions of what I can lovingly let go of. Jennies words were a breath of fresh air!
Famous at Home – Dr. Josh & Christi Straub
This book helped me identify some of my biggest struggles as a wife and a mom, and helped me feel seen. It’s a gentle but firm nudge to invest first in the people and moments that matter most, echoing my goal of being more present at home.

Now and Not Yet – Ruth Chou Simons
Perfect for anyone living in the between of waiting of dreams still to come. This book has helped me embrace patience, trust in God’s timing, and allow things to unfold in their own time.
Killing Comparison – Nona Jones
This message is so near and dear to my heart and a timely reminder in the age of constant scrolling. This book has challenged me to stay rooted in my own calling and season instead of measuring my progress against someone else’s highlight reel.
Unclutter Your Soul – Trina McNeilly
Just as I’m drawn to simplifying our physical spaces, this book speaks to clearing emotional and spiritual clutter. It pairs beautifully with my goal of creating a calmer, more intentional home environment.
Good Boundaries and Goodbyes – Lysa TerKeurst
This one has been deeply practical and healing. It’s helped me think through boundaries with more clarity and grace—something that has quietly supported many of my goals this year.
Fast Like a Girl – Dr. Mindy Pelz
I have always believed that whole foods can heal our bodies. Mindy takes a deep dive into making sure women understand how to eat in a way that fuels their body right while being aligned with your cycle. This educational read has shifted my approach to wellness from rigid rules to informed, thoughtful care.
Pin it – to save for future reference!

I’m already on track to read one book a month throughout this entire year. And I would love to hear about a book you’ve read that has impacted your life, or perhaps one you are reading now that you love!
