Hello Friends!! Happy Monday! We are kicking things off this week with a beautiful summer themed tablescape tour hosted by Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful, and 20 other blogging friends. If you are visiting for the first time from the tour, then welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by, and I can’t wait to share my easy summer tablescape with you!
I shared in my summer home tour last week, that one of the things I love most about summer is the laid back schedule, and that is just the kind of feeling I want our home to feel as well.
A linen window pane tablecloth (found HERE) is the foundation I used when creating this easy summer tablescape to give off just that feeling. It reminds me of picnics in the summer under the trees, and nothing feels more laid back than a fuss-free summer picnic!
I grabbed an antique galvanized bucket and filled it with a variety of leafy greens. Want to know a secret?! I used mostly faux green stems, and to make it look more life – like added in a few real ones for some extra texture.
Then I headed outside and clipped some fresh lily of the valley, as it’s just about ready to bloom, and placed them in assorted milk glass vases on either side of my center arrangement.
Cafe napkins add to the laid back feelings of summer gathered in woven napkin rings, placed on top of my favorite white plates. I used larger wooden plates (from HERE) to act as a charger underneath, and break up the white plates on top of the mostly white tablecloth.
Whenever I’m creating a tablescape, I allow the things from nature, that speak of the season we are in, to come forth and set the scene for the table I’m creating. Whether it’s using fresh flowers I find in my yard as a centerpiece. Pops of blue that remind me of the summer sky, or the relaxed texture found in wicker chairs that evoke all the feelings summer has to offer. I like to incorporate these seasonal elements, to set the tone for my table.
I think when we surround ourselves with the carefree vibes of summer, you can’t help but sit back and relax, and breathe in all the refreshment the summer has to offer.
