Hi Friends!!
Each year, as the ground begins to thaw and the trees begin to bud, I’m filled with anticipation as a new season begins. Signs of spring pop up all around our yard, and with it come new ideas and fresh inspiration, like something that’s been resting beneath the surface all winter is finally ready to come to life. I used to say fall was my favorite season. But more and more, I find myself waiting for spring. The longer days, the warmer air, and the sound of birds returning in the morning—it all feels like a deep breath after a long winter.
And just like the world outside begins to wake up, I always feel inspired to breathe new life into our home as well.
Are you ready to welcome spring into your home?

A Fresh Start for Your Home
Spring carries the same feeling as the beginning of a new year—a fresh start.
It’s the season that invites us to open the windows, let the fresh air in, and welcome a sense of lightness back into our spaces. After months of cozy layers and heavier textures, there’s something so refreshing about simplifying and making room for what’s new.
This doesn’t have to mean a full redesign. Sometimes, it’s the smallest shifts that make the biggest difference.

Decorating with What You Love About Spring
As you begin to welcome spring into your home, think about what you love most about this season.

Is it a specific flower?
A favorite scent?
A soft pastel palette or a simple floral pattern?
Spring decorating isn’t about following a formula or buying the latest trends—it’s about choosing elements that feel meaningful to you.
This is one of my favorite times of year to bring the outdoors in. Flowering branches, delicate buds, and fresh greenery only appear for a short time, which makes them feel even more special.

Simple Ways to Bring Spring Indoors
As the seasons shift, I love making simple, intentional changes that mirror what’s happening outside. Here are ways that I welcome spring into our home:
- Bring in fresh branches and blooms
Fill galvanized buckets or simple vases with flowering branches or early spring clippings. There’s nothing more beautiful than something seasonal and slightly imperfect. - Swap out winter scents
Replace deeper winter fragrances like cranberry and cedar with lighter, fresher scents like lilac, lemon, or soft florals. - Clear out the heaviness of winter
Put away the last traces of winter decor and give your home a reset. A good spring cleaning creates space for the new season to settle in. - Let in the light
Open windows, pull back curtains, and let natural light take center stage again.
These small changes don’t just refresh your home—they shift the entire feeling of it.

A Gentle Invitation to Embrace the Season
Spring reminds us that change doesn’t have to be rushed. It unfolds slowly, beautifully, and with intention.
And our homes can reflect that same rhythm.
If you’re looking for more inspiration on creating a home that feels meaningful in every season, I share more of this approach in my book, Making Your Home Meaningful—where I walk through simple, thoughtful ways to style your home with purpose, beauty, and heart.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about decorating perfectly for spring…
It’s about creating a space that feels alive, welcoming, and filled with the things you love most.
Let’s embrace spring together 🌿
