Today I have a fun home tour to share with you! I have had the pleasure of getting to know the girl behind this blog, most recently in the new year, and she is one of the sweetest people I just had to share her with all of you! Not to mention I love her modern farmhouse style, and her beautiful photos.
Say Hello to Alicia, from A Burst of Beautiful!! She just recently refreshed her living and dining room spaces, and since we are all about refreshing spaces to kick off the new year, lets start with her living room.
I went gah-gah over her soft gray buffalo check pillows. They add so much to her space, and she even shares a great tutorial, HERE, for how she made them – zippers and all 🙂
Her living and dining room are open concept, which can be so great, but I know sometimes when we are in the midst of decorating those open concept spaces it can be hard to navigate.
She did a great job utilizing both spaces so that they flow together, without feeling like an overwhelming large room with no direction. I know just deciding on where to place your furniture can be difficult, and I love how she used her sofa to break up the two spaces, without it feeling awkward. Sticking to neutrals helps the entire space feel warm and inviting and cohesive – which is key with open concept.
Her dining room feels clean and fresh, while keeping a relaxed vibe with the casual farmhouse bench seating.
She carries the same feeling into her kitchen, with subtle rustic touches, a crisp color palette, and farmhouse feel with her vintage style lighting.
I love how crisp and serene her master bedroom feels. Beautifully simple, yet every inch gives the feeling of a great place to escape and come in and unwind from the day. She carries the modern farmhouse feel in their bedroom with clean lines, a neutral color palette, and a few rustic touches. I know that when you are first starting out the design process, or even in the beginning stages, and all neutral color palette can feel blah, but here Alicia shows how beautifully it can be done, and how much those rustic pieces pop with a subtle neutral background. Here the space is calm, and when there decor doesn’t have to fight for our attention visually they stand out like they were meant to in the first place.
They just celebrated her daughter’s first birthday, and I love the details she brought into her nursery.
I hope you’ve enjoyed Alicia’s home as much as I have, and hope you stop by her blog, you are sure to be inspired! Along with blogging Alicia also works as a virtual assistant helping fellow bloggers manage their not only their blogs and the technical side, but she also helps with all the social media aspects that keeping up with blogging brings. I just started working with her this past January, and already feel less stress for all the things I just couldn’t keep up with. Not only do I feel more efficient, she is so knowledgeable in helping me, especially in areas I feel clueless in! To see more of her beautiful blog, you can visit her HERE. And if you are a fellow blogger, and feel like you could use a little or a lot of help navigating through this wonderful online community, I highly recommend you drop her a line 🙂
