One of the first place’s I go to decorate for the seasons is our dining room table. It’s a great way to add a seasonal touch without having to change out the bulk of my decor. I know sometimes figuring out just what to put on your dining room table can be tricky. So today I’m sharing a simple fall tablescape idea that will last through Thanksgiving. I’ve also teamed up with some friends who are sharing more easy ideas to decorate for fall with.

One of the best ways to create interest on your table is by adding height! It helps keep things from looking flat, and keeps your eye moving. So to add height I brought in THESE candlesticks, that vary in different heights.
I centered things off with my favorite cake stand from our collection with Painted Fox, which now creates a landing spot for a center pumpkin. This layout helps guide the placement of the rest of my autumn produce.
I placed my larger pumpkins closest to the center, and then begin to work my way out with smaller ones. This creates a natural progression, and helps the flow of the tablescape.
I finished things off by tucking seeded eucalyptus branches around the pumpkins, so they didn’t feel like they were just free standing, but more nestled in, and placed there on purpose. Adding loose cut greens is a great way to help cover up the gaps, and also just helps fill the tablescape in, so it feels fuller and more complete.
I can’t wait to see what simple easy ideas my friends have come up with! Check out their links below.

Your dining room arrangement is lovely. I like the use of the cake stand giving the centerpiece some height and variation and like the greenery “fillers”. I can’t take my eyes off your beautiful light fixture and the perfect candle-holders! Nicely done!

It looks beautiful! I love the added touch of the seeded eucalyptus. Is that real or faux?
Bre says
Thanks so much Jennifer 😉 It’s real, but it dries out after a week, which lightens the color of it, vs. when it’s fresh 🙂
