Living Room Sources for 2017

08/07/2017 By Bre

7 Aug

I get a lot of questions about where items are from in our home. I’m in the process of updating my sources, and creating a page to help navigate through different rooms in our house, to make things easier to find. Until then I wanted to share some updated sources for pieces you’ve seen in our living room this year. My staples have stayed the same, but there have been subtle changes along the way, and I wanted to make everything easy to find in one post.

Our living room is currently painted White Heron by Benjamin Moore. You can read all about my “White Paint Fail” to see how I ended up going with this color, instead of some other popular white paints. Who knew painting your walls white could prove to be so tricky?! You can click on the images below the photos for direct links to some of the items. For the items not linked, I will do my best to make sure I list everything. In case I miss something please don’t hesitate to ask ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is a straight on view of our living room this summer:

Our trunk coffee table is one of our most asked about pieces. My husbands grandfather made it, and we inherited it shortly after we got married. It’s one of our treasured pieces that we have, and love that we have something he made, as he is no longer with us. I linked a similar one, but again this is not an exact.

The round wooden mirror above our couch is from HomeGoods. One of my most favorite pieces I purchased about 4 years ago.

The small metal table in between our two wingback chairs can be found HERE.

Our woven blinds are from Lowes and you can find them HERE. They are made by Style Selections and we have the cocoa finish. They run for under $20 a piece, and are great at helping us keep the cold air out during our long winters.

Our drapes are from Barn & Willow. You can read all about when we got them HERE, including the direct link to the type of Belgian Linen panels I chose.

Other details in our living room include this chambray blue mud cloth pillow from Danielle Oakey Interiors. Unfortunately she no longer has that exact pillow cover, but you can visit her shop on Etsy HERE, there are so many great covers to choose from!

The white lamp is from HomeGoods, I got early this year for our Spring Home Tour.ย I ended up getting two because I loved them so much, and have the other one on our dining room buffet. The chippy frame hung behind the lamp on the wall was a DIY made from some old wood trim we found in our barn when we bought the house. The one below it was a HomeGoods find along with he faux white flowers in the vase, and the antlers on top were from a deer my husband got a few hunting seasons ago. (Yes my husband hunts, yes we eat the meat, and one day I will probably have one mounted on my wall, lol. It’s incorporating his likes into our home decor that makes for a happy mix of his and hers).

This little corner table was one of our first DIY’s, we made the top out of old barn wood. The lamp is old Target, and both the frames are from Target currently as well. The heron art print was from Etsy, and is included in the link above, and the fig tree print was a free download from Magnolia earlier this year you find HERE on her blog.

Lastly in our living room is our media cabinet wall. I refreshed this little corner earlier this year, by revamping all the frames around the tv. I wanted a more cohesive feel, so I opted for using all of the same frames instead of my usual eclectic mix.ย New Frames Around the TV | Rooms FOR Rent Blog

You can read about all the details of this corner HERE. All the frames you see are from Target, the basket was a HomeGoods purchase years ago. The ticking stripe pillow in the basket is old IKEA, and the navy blue throw pillow was from Micheal’s last year. The knick knacks on the built in shelf to the left are all a mix from Target and HomeGoods. Our media cabinet was a DIY build, and to see what kind of stain I used to get this look you can catch out the full post HERE.

And I am sure I have probably missed something, so if I did please don’t hesitate to ask! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s from Joss & Main ๐Ÿ™‚ You can also find it on Wayfair too, and I believe it’s in one of the images below the first photo in the post ๐Ÿ™‚
