I know that we haven’t hit Thanksgiving yet, and so for some it may seem a bit early, but in an attempt to offer inspiration before you start decorating for Christmas this year, I wanted to share a bit of Christmas decorating I did in our kitchen over the weekend! If you heart is pounding just at reading the word Christmas than I encourage you to check out my Thanksgiving table HERE, or my DIY Pumpkin Centerpiece HERE, just to calm your nerves a bit, and reassure you I haven’t totally skipped over Thanksgiving. I will say that I’m excited to start sprinkling in some Christmas here and there around our house. Once Halloween is over, it’s fair game in this house, and I will tell you my kids are just as excited as I am to start seeing Christmas decorations pop up. Honestly they are thrilled, and just seeing their excitement over “tiny trees” and our “little nativity” mixed in with our “thanksgiving turkey” all exclamations from my son and daughter, just makes the season all the more merrier.
Today I’m joining in on the Seasons of Home Holiday Decor Series, hosted by the lovely Kristen of Ella Claire blog.
She truly is such an inspiration to me, and I look forward to this series every year! Here is a look at some Christmas decorating I have done in our kitchen this year so far.
I made this DIY Pom Pom wreath last year, it was fairly easy to make, and the perfect fireside Christmas craft. I’ve seen quite a few tutorials on Pinterest, I love the texture and coziness its adds all at once. I am definitely going to be making some more of these in the near future!
Our open shelves in the kitchen are probably my most favorite thing to decorate for Christmas. It’s subtle, but a great area to bring in some of my favorite Christmas sentiments.
I still have some more areas to sprinkle a little holiday cheer in around our kitchen. But I’m taking my time this year, decorating as I feel the urge, and enjoying every moment of this holiday season!
Now go refill your mug with your hot beverage of choice, and take a look at my friends kitchens decorated for Christmas too!

Bre says
Thank you so much Rachel!! We’ve had our fire going a few times so far this season! It’s one of the main things that keeps me from not minding the long winters so much, ha ha! All the best!
