Hello Friends!! I hope you are having a great week so far!! In case you missed it yesterday I shared a delicious recipe for a fall cocktail – Salted Caramel Apple Cider Margarita!! You had me at “salted caramel” – YUM! You can find the recipe HERE, and today I’m sharing more of my newest favorite home decor accessory – my bar cart, styled for fall.
Salted Caramel Apple Cider Margarita
Is your mouth drooling just from that title? Salted Caramel Apple Cider Margarita? Then I’m going to assume if it is we would be friends. Not just friends, but the kind of friends whose mouths start to drool over words like “salted caramel” and “apple cider”, because we get it. And if you aren’t that’s ok, I’m still glad you’re here too! One thing I don’t share that often on the blog is recipe, but friends I am a foodie at heart! And while I don’t always share my passion for food here on the blog, I am the kind of girl who goes into a restaurant and looks at what they are serving for dessert FIRST! Then I will decide on what I am going to eat for my main meal. I bet you also didn’t know that I used to be a bartender?
10 Pumpkin Centerpiece Ideas
I love to decorate with pumpkins for fall. To me it’s the easiest way to add some fall touches around your home. There are so many different ways you can decorate with them, whether you group them, or place just one on top of some stacked books. The possibilities are endless. I always get asked about what to put on your table during fall, that you can also use for Thanksgiving, so I rounded up 10 different pumpkin centerpiece ideas for your table. They range from the simplest ideas all the way to an elaborate tablescape, but I think there will be something in here for everyone!
Embracing the Process {Part 2}
Hello Friends!! Yesterday I shared one of the risks I took early on in my blogging days, when I was first starting out in my business!! To clarify I don’t not consider myself a risk taker, or one who embraces chaos and uncertainty which are the first words that come to mind when I hear the phrase “risk-taker”. But I’ve been slightly surprised with myself over the last five years or so, as I’ve begun to grow my business, and realize that risk taking is necessary process in order grow. I believe it’s all part of embracing the process as we stretch ourselves to do bigger and better things! So today I’m going to continue with Part 2 of Embracing the Process. If you missed Part 1 I would highly encourage you to read that part first, so this doesn’t seem totally out of left field. Anyways here we go….
Embracing the Process {Part 1}
Hello Friends!! Today I’m switching gears a bit from the normal home decor posts you see around here. I’ll be back with more of those this week, but today I want to share something thats been on my heart for awhile to share. If you caught my last post than perhaps you are anxiously awaiting this post? If not, I shared in my last post how I’ve really been wanting to encourage women more, not just in their homes, but in their lives as well. I believe we all have a God-sized dreams placed inside us, and I shared more about why I refer to it that way. You can catch up HERE, in case you missed it, but today I’m going back. Back to the beginning of when I first started blogging, which lead to me starting a design business, and a path I took the lead to something I was sure would be apart of my business.
Finding your Dream
I believe that everyone has a dream placed inside of them. I don’t think it matters what age you are, or your race or geographic location. I believe we were all born with a dream deep down inside of our hearts just waiting to come forth. I’ve been really feeling encouraged this past year to encourage women (and men) to chase their God-sized dreams, and not let fear of failure or other people scare them from walking into their full potential. Because I believe that when we are walking out in that God-sized dream we are walking in our fullest potential.
Friday Round-Up
Hello Friends and Happy Friday!! of “Fri-YAY” as we say it in my house. I just wanted to pop in and share a few different things with you, that don’t necessarily need their own post! A little bit of some Friday shenanigans if you will!
New Darker Paint Color in the Dining Room
I took the plunge. I pulled the trigger, and I didn’t look back, and you want to know what?! I am LOVING it!! If you caught my post last week, than you probably already know what I’m talking about. I shared how I was contemplating a few different dark shades of gray-navy blue, and how honestly I had been wanting to paint this color for over a YEAR! Yes you read that correctly, over a year! While I’m happy to say, I made a choice, I took the leap, I went for it, and I LOVE it!! Yep, it’s true! I painted our dining room, after debating to do it for over a year, and I love the new darker color! Take a look!
Fall around the Patio
Today is the last round of fall tours with the Seasonal Simplicity series, hosted by Kristen from Ella Claire! We will back with a christmas series again this year, and honestly guys – my mind is already starting to wonder off in that direction. But before I get too far ahead of myself, today I’m joining some friends as we share our outdoor spaces decorated for fall.
