New Years Eve Wet Bar
Hello Friends!!! I can't believe Christmas is in one week! ONE WEEK! My husband and I went out last night to get the last of the stocking stuffers that we need, and other than one more Amazon order to make - we are done! And it feels so good! I can't believe with Christmas only a week away, we will be ringing in the New Year before you know it! I have reached the age where I'd much rather stay in and party than go out. Sometimes I make it to midnight, lol, but we love having some friends over and ringing the New Year in together. We recently converted this second-hand cabinet into a wet bar, just in time to help us ring in the New Year. Come and take a look! ... Read More about New Years Eve Wet Bar
Advent Calendar Ideas
Over the past couple of years I have created different Advent calendars at christmas time to celebrate the holiday season. I remember when my kids were toddlers feeling the pressure to do everything the Christmas season had to offer. Make christmas cookies, go caroling, drive around and look at christmas lights. Make sure we watch ALL the christmas movies, get matching christmas pajamas, celebrate advent, attend our churches christmas eve service in our new holiday outfits, and the list goes on and on. What I learned over the years, is what sticks with our kids is not so much the “doing” of all the things, but celebrating the little things. And to me that's what Advent is all about! ... 21 Gifts for Mom – she’ll really want
I don't know about you, but I am finding that the older I get, the gifts I want most seem to be whatever I have my eye on that will make homemaking easier, lol. Sure it's nice to get some new clothes or perfume, but I really want an upgrade to some of the appliances and household items I use on a daily basis. Don't you find that when you have something that works really well, it feels less like a chore, and you are happier to tackle that to-do list? Maybe it's just me, but I have a feeling I'm not the only one. Life is busy, and hectic, and I'll take all the help I can get to be more efficient around our home, so I can spend more time cuddling on the couch with my kiddos. So I put together ... A little Christmas Nostalgia
You've heard me say it before! Actually I feel like it's all I've been saying for at least the last few years. When it comes to decorating for Christmas I love using tiny trees! Like seriously LOVE. lol. I've been adding tiny trees to me christmas decor for at least the last 5 years, and 4 years ago my husband jokingly decided to count them until the number reached over 100 and he gave up, ha! Well, I've still been adding since then, and I've shared HERE and HERE on the blog many different ways I've decorated with them. But what I haven't shared is where the obsession came from. So today, I'm sharing a little christmas nostalgia in where my love for decorating with trees all ... Read More about A little Christmas Nostalgia

Hello Friends! Today I'm joining in a week long festive holiday home tour, part of the Seasonal Simplicity series with 45 other bloggers, who are sharing parts of their homes decorated for the holidays all week long! Yes you read that right fourty-five! Seriously I think this is the biggest virtual home tour series I have been apart of yet, and it's hosted by the lovely Krista from the Happy Housie. 5 Tips for Decorating for Christmas
Do you hit a wall with decorating? I mean, I think we all hit a wall at some point or another, but do you hit a wall when it comes to decorating for Christmas? I do. No joke, as much as I love decorating for christmas, and anticipate it all year long, there comes a point ohhh about 2/3 of the way in to decorating our home for Christmas that I hit a wall. It's kind of like when you have a christmas cookie, and then another, and then another, and then you make a cup of coffee, because what wouldn't better than a hot cup of jo to accompany said christmas cookies, then you have a few more, and all of a sudden you hit that wall of christmas cookie overload, and suddenly you've had too much. I ... Read More about 5 Tips for Decorating for Christmas
Favorite Christmas Decor Finds | 2018
Hello Friends!! I hope you are easing into this week slowly. For me the week after Thanksgiving is always the busiest on the blog, and with design clients. While I don't take on design clients anymore, I have a few commercial clients that I still decorate their spaces for the holidays, and it's a fun twist, because I get to bring out my inner "shop-owner" and do store front displays, that are different from your typical holiday home decor. Needless to say it's a busy week, so this week begins my holiday slow down process. Where the rushing around, and shopping become more of a joy, because they don't require deadlines. So to ease into this week (in case you have a case of the Monday's too ... Read More about Favorite Christmas Decor Finds | 2018
Cozy Christmas Wonderland with Balsam Hill
If there could be one word to describe my Christmas decor, it is without a doubt, "cozy" for sure. I don't know if it just seems to be ringing louder in my ears this year, or because our temperatures have dropped earlier this year, but there is one thing for sure that I keep hearing over and over again in my head as I look around our home this holiday season and it's the word COZY. It's no secret that I love decorating for the holidays, and I'm so excited to be teaming up with some of my favorite bloggers today, and Balsam Hill to show you the cozy side of Christmas that has been spread throughout our home - inside & out. ... Farmhouse Christmas Tour
Hello friends! I sure hope you are not getting tired of seeing Christmas posts yet :) I think the biggest thing I have tried focusing on this year while decorating for Christmas is it's not how much stuff you add, but what you add. I shared in my bedroom post yesterday that I wanted things to feel simple and fresh, with one to two statement pieces. And I feel like that has ended up being the theme in all of my Christmas decor this year. ... Read More about Farmhouse Christmas Tour
