Hello Friends!!! I can't believe we are in November already. I'm trying desperately to soak in everything this season has to offer, as well as finishing up a few projects I've been secretly working on around our home, before I begin to break out the Christmas decor. But I had an epiphany recently, and I wanted to share it with you. I know what you're thinking, permission? Permission for what? But before I can give you this answer, I have to explain how I got to this conclusion. ... Read More about I Gave Myself Permission
Kitchen Shelves Makeover
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught a sneak peak of a little makeover I did towards the end of last week. As I was settling back into my routine here at home after my trip to Waco, I finally got the nerve to see if I could give my kitchen shelves a little makeover. It was like my brain needed a little break, as it was still processing all the wonderful things from last weekend, and a little DIY was just what I needed. I had been contemplating giving our kitchen shelves a makeover a few times before, but just never got up the gumption to tackle it. Well, I did! And I think you will love the outcome! ... DIY | Easiest Way to Remove Labels from Bottles
Hi Friends!! Have you ever tried to remove labels off of glass bottles? Perhaps you found the cutest wine bottle in the whole wide world, that would totally make the cutest vase ever, only to be discouraged because you can't get the dang label off? Sound familiar? Maybe you have been there too. I always have the best intentions in repurposing things, and then tend to give up halfway through when it becomes more of a struggle rather than a thrifty rescue. Well, one day this past summer we had family over for a BBQ, and my brother-in-law brought beer that came in the cutest little brown bottles I had ever seen! As I was taking out the recycles the next day, I saw them in the bin, and thought ... Read More about DIY | Easiest Way to Remove Labels from Bottles

New Exterior Door Color
So I'm not sure if you caught my Instagram stories a few weeks ago, but I was on the hunt for a new exterior door color. Our house has white siding on it, but the doors are all wood original to the 1846 year our house was built. They are in decent condition, however extremely drafty in the winter, even with storm doors. We do have hopes to replace them with better more efficient doors, because I am all set watching my heat escape out of them in the winter, but in the meantime I gave them all a fresh coat of paint! ...
