I'm back with Day 3 of my week long of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. If you are just stopping by for the first time today, or catching up, click the days to see Day 1 and Day 2. I love creating tablescpaes, it's one of my favorite things to do, and what inspired me to do a full week of them, so enjoy Day 3.I start by completely clearing off my table, to have a fresh look, and perspective to design.Once my table is cleared I start by layering fabric on top. I still like to see my wooden table top, so I fold a simple white tablecloth in half and center it on my table so that the wood is still exposed on both ends. Birch Tree Thanksgiving Tablescape

Happy Tuesday!! I'm back with Day 2 of my week long of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. If you missed yesterdays simple, elegant table you can check that out here. Todays table is a bit more rustic, with birch tree stumps and nature inspired pieces.Above you will see my empty table, a blank canvas. First thing I did was bunch up some burlap in the middle of the table to create a nest.Then I staggered birch tree stumps throughout the burlap to create lots of layers and different heights.Next I added all my white pumpkins and candles. And after seeing the quality, and feeling the effects for a few weeks now, I'm honestly kicking myself for not doing something about it sooner. It's that time of year again. You know getting that fabulous family picture for those darn holiday cards! Is it me or is fall like national take your family picture time. Whether you hire someone to take your photos, or tackle that task yourself, I've been there and I've done both, and regardless of who is behind the camera, you want the ones in front of the camera looking their best. Fall Porch and New Outdoor Lanterns

It's been a long time since you guys have seen the outside of my house. A Long Time! HA HA. I love the outside, but am working on my green thumb. One time of the year though my green thumb thrives is mum season. Mums like me, I like them! They are easy for me to maintain, and forgive quickly if I forget to water them :) I wish my kids were that forgiving if I forgot to feed them, but no, they get in my face all day long and ask for food, I swear I really do feed them :) For fall, I love to flood my porch with mums and pumpkins.
