Hello Friends!! I shared yesterday how we are beginning to slowly transition into fall. I think one thing I always have to remind myself when I’m swapping out our seasonal decor, is that it’s not a race. I don’t have to rush to have it completely finished in one day. I can take my time, and work my way around out house, creating little vignettes here, or swapping out throw pillows there. Because when I rush, I don’t always enjoy it – it feels more forced. Instead I allow my spaces to speak to me, and create as I feel inspired. I started transitioning our kitchen into fall, come and take a look ~

Hello friends!! I am on the hunt for some new kitchen bar stools. It’s true, our current Ikea ones have seen better days. And while I’m still contemplating this decision, I’m getting ready to pull the trigger, so I wanted to share some of my thought process with you, and how I go about deciding on things when I’m going to make a decor purchase for our home.
I asked this question on Instagram last week because I had a hunch! There I was sitting one night scrolling through the gram, and it hit me – “I bet everyone has at least one area in their home that they aren’t happy with” I thought to myself. Or at least they weren’t happy with it until they fixed it! You know that problem area that you either over decorate to try and “hide” it, or completely ignore it determined it will always be a non-pretty area in your home, hoping that if you ignore it enough others might not see it too. Recently I took on a small design client. After making the decision two years ago to no longer work with clients, I wondered if I ever would again.
