I love to refresh our home with each seasonal change, and just like I shared in my “Fall Nesting” post, decorating for fall is all about adding in cozy layers, natural accents, and comforting details that mirror autumn’s beauty.
There’s just something about setting the table in the fall that feels extra special. The cooler air, the golden light, and those cozy evenings at home—it all makes me want to slow down and add a little seasonal charm. This year, I put together a neutral fall tablescape that’s simple, cozy, and so easy to recreate. There’s something about fall that calls for layers of texture, warm earthy tones, and natural elements that make a space instantly feel more inviting. One of the simplest ways to bring that harvest-inspired charm into your home is with a fall basket arrangement. There’s something so special about creating little seasonal moments around the house, and this fall vignette in our dining room has quickly become one of my favorites. As soon as the leaves start to change outside, I can’t resist bringing a little bit of that autumn magic indoors. Instead of feeling the pressure of decorating the entire house for fall, I like to focus on one area at a time. Creating a seasonal vignette on our buffet is one of my favorite areas to start with.

The difference for me is that fall nesting goes beyond simply decorating for the season; it’s about embracing a lifestyle of comfort and connection, where your home becomes a welcoming retreat for cooler months ahead.
I love creating a welcoming Thanksgiving table that inspires people to want to come and gather around it. To linger long after the last bite has been taken and dessert has been served. Tablescapes don’t have to be tricky or complicated. This year’s Thanksgiving table is all about creating cozy layers with a warm welcome.
Our back porch has been undergoing major changes over the last few months. Earlier this summer, we started the demo, removing worn-out screens and the dated green tile. We aren’t quite finished with it yet, but the transformation has been so fun, seeing new life brought back into this space that we love to use. Our back porch is split into two sections, one part being screened in (which we plan to keep) and a second portion that used to have a pergola over it. Both of which overlooks our backyard. We’ve made some major changes to it, and even though it’s not quite finished, I thought it would be fun to decorate for fall and show you the difference between how it looked last year and now.
The hutch in our dining room is one of my favorite spots to decorate seasonally. It’s the first spot I go to decorate for Christmas and an easy way to add seasonal decor that’s reflected throughout the entire room. Our hutch makes the perfect focal point, centered at the end of our table. Today I’m sharing the step-by-step process of how I style our hutch for fall.
