Currently Loving {vol. 2}
I don’t know if it’s celebrating each season, or the anticipation of the seasonal change right around the corner, but I find myself being drawn to certain things, or pieces at different times throughout the year. Not as generic as lets say pumpkin spice everything come fall, or coconut smelling soaps and lotions in the summer. No this varies from season to season, and changes throughout the mood. I shared in my first post of Currently Loving that sometimes these things don’t have a specific category they fall into, or a designated blog post. I just wanted a place to share what currently has me swooning, and perhaps at the same time it will have you swooning too. Nope this is just a light hearted, what I’m currently loving right now kind of post!

Our Chicken Coop
Hello Friends!! I hope your week has been going well. We have been totally enjoying the lazy days of summer around here. family vacations, time spent outside soaking in the warm air, it truly has been a great summer so far. I know I’ve sharing little glimpse’s of our chicken coop on Instagram before, but I realized the other day while I was out collecting eggs, I don’t think I’ve shared much of it on here. I announced that we got chickens a few years ago – HERE. And since then we have added to the flock. We have a total of 12 chickens, and honestly they are so much fun to have. I love their personalities, and they have to be the most friendliest chickens I’ve ever met! I love sitting on my porch and watching them, and honestly looking out over our yard and seeing their coop just makes me happy, so I thought I would share it with you today.

5 Things Motherhood has Taught Me
On this Mothers Day, I wanted to share with you a little bit about my journey in motherhood so far. I cap it at “so far” because well, I’m right in the middle of it. I’m past the throws of the infant stage and toddler hood, and no sleep, and right in the sweet spot of “I can wipe my own bum” and “tie my own shoes” and there is no sign of pre-teen drama. And even if we aren’t at the same stage in life, or motherhood for that matter, I really just wanted to share what has impacted me, what I’ve learned so far, lol. Because if you haven’t been in toddlerhood for a while, it is no joke my friend! While I still have a long ways to go, here are 5 things I’ve learned so far.
Pretty in Pink Centerpiece Tutorial
Hello Friends! Mothers day is fast approaching, and if you caught this years mothers day tablescape, then you know I went all “Pretty in Pink”, with some beautiful pink ranunculus. I am no florist by any means, but I’ve thrown together an arrangement from time to time. I usually love to enlist the help of my talented friend Christi from Twig & Tulip. She is what I like to call a ninja master when it comes to arranging beautiful flowers. She created the lovely arrangement on last years Mother’s Day tablescape, and so many more for other tablescapes I’ve done in the past. But every now and then (usually when I procrastinate) I try my hand at it.
