Hello Friends!! I can’t believe that Christmas is in less than 2 weeks! I feel like I say this every year, but every time we get this close to Christmas I find myself wishing time would stand still, and in disbelief at how fast yet another year has gone by. Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to Christmas party hosted by my friend Jen from Migonis Home. It was sort of an informal get together for some local bloggers and readers to meet in person, celebrate the holidays, and enjoy a meal together. Honestly, it was more of a blessing than I anticipated, and it reminded me of what it’s like when we allow others to bless us with the gift of gathering. So I wanted to share a little bit more with you all on here, because it truly is a gift we can all receive.

Fall Tablescape Sources from the book| The Gift of Gathering
Hello Friends!! Today I’m sharing all the sources from the fall chapter in my book The Gift of Gathering. One question (or I should say many questions) I’m getting asked as I share about the book is where certain items are from that I used in the tablescapes in the book. So today I’m sharing all the sources from the fall tablescapes in the book.
Our first Gathering
Ohh Happy Friday friends, the weekend is here!! I’m not sure what you have planned, but I hope there’s at least one thing you are looking forward to. Today I’m sharing a story I haven’t shared here on the blog before. It’s about the very first dinner party my husband and I had – our first gathering if you will. I’ve shared my heart behind the book, and of course my love for creating tablescapes, but long ago, before blogging or even tablescapes were a thing, I found myself sitting at our hand-me-down dining room table, making handmade invitations inviting our friends to our first ever dinner party!
Thanksgiving Tablescape | 2019
Hello friends!! I have to be honest, each year I create a holiday tablescape, I think to myself “this is my favorite”. Even though I have no idea what next years tablescape will look like, I love the current one I just created so much that I think how can it possibly get any better. Then, fast forward a year and it’s time to create another one, and now that one is my new favorite. It just goes to show that no two tablescapes will ever be alike, and you have to create whatever you are currently in the mood for.
Setting the Table | The Gift of Gathering
I will be the first to admit, when I was a kid, setting the table for dinner was not my most favorite thing to do. Even when asked, I would begrudgingly say “yes”, as I walked over to the silverware drawer and began counting out forks. I did not see the point. I couldn’t understand why everyone else couldn’t just get their own silverware? Why did I have to do it? What I didn’t realize then, I’ve come to treasure now ~
