Fall in our living room this year is all about simple. I wanted the transition into fall to feel effortless, with easy changes, simple decor, and of course cozy texture. I love the reminder that you don't have to give a room a complete overhaul for it to feel ready for the new season that's upon us. That sometimes it just means swapping out throw blankets, adding a little warmth, and a simple artwork swap. All of which I did to accomplish our simple fall living room this year. Come take a look ~ ... Read More about Fall Living Room | 2019

18 Summers
Hello friends!! I'm going off the home decor topic today for a little "mom-life" inspiration. While I love all things home and home decor, and creating a home my family will love, to me it means nothing if I don't have them to share it with. I shared HERE, about how I got invited to contribute to a mommy blog, and I'm happy to say that a year later I'm still loving it! It gives me an outlet to share on more of my day-to-day mom life, and the struggles I face, and encouragement I've found in my own motherhood journey. So I'm taking a quick break from sharing about home decor today to share a little bit of my recent mom thoughts with you! ... Read More about 18 Summers
My Kitchen Style
I'm so glad that so many of you are enjoying these posts of me showing you how the different rooms in our home have evolved. It all started with my post a few weeks ago about how it's ok if you don't live in your dream home! And then I shared a few tips on where to start within your own home, because I'm all about loving the space you're in - NOT the space you wish to be in, but just aren't there yet. Let's embrace the spaces that we are currently in now, and find contentment in what we already have, I truly believe this is possible. Today I'm sharing my kitchen style and how it has transformed from the what it looked like the day we moved in. I love this transformation because to date - all ... Read More about My Kitchen Style
Spring Curb Appeal | Refresh your Front Porch
I don't know about you, but every spring I can't wait to get outside and start freshening up our outdoor spaces. Our front porch in particular is one of the first areas I tackle since we use this as our main entrance to the house. I can't wait to take down the winter decor I had out there and clean the entire area. Not only does it look better once it's cleaned, but it really makes our entryway feel fresh for spring! Since I'm in the process of doing this to our own front porch right now, I wanted to share my thoughts with you as well! ... Read More about Spring Curb Appeal | Refresh your Front Porch

Comparing Navy Blue Paint Colors
Hello Friends!! It is no exaggeration when I tell you I have been waiting a whole year to paint this new darker color! Yep, a whole YEAR! You see I contemplated it for a while, would try to discard the urge, and tell myself I didn't need too, but it would keep coming back! Like a bad craving for something chocolate. Every time the urge would come back I would weigh out the pro's and con's. I loved the look of a rich navy blue, that had deep charcoal undertones in it, but my office / laundry room [which is right off our dining room] is already painted Wescott Navy by Benjamin Moore. So if I painted my dining room dark, now does that mean I have to repaint my office? ... Read More about Comparing Navy Blue Paint Colors
Favorite Home Decor Finds at Target
I know I'm not the only one who has gone in to a Target store for a few items, and magically some new throw pillows, and a the latest trinket end up in my cart. Yep - GUILTY! So I happened to make one of those infamous Target runs on Monday, and tried so very, very hard to only get the items on my list. Of course I had a million "squirrel" moments, when some of their home decor items tried to entice me, tried to lure me in and derail my kart. But I held on tight, and stayed on course, lol. However a girl does glance, so today I'm sharing with you some favorite home decor find at Target right now! ... Read More about Favorite Home Decor Finds at Target
Different types of Art for your walls
As I said in my last post, knowing what to hang on your walls can prove to be tricky sometimes. Today I'm going to highlight different art I have on my walls, and hopefully provide you with some inspiration for different types of art for your walls too! Again I will say, that I love framing family photos, especially large prints, but I've found if I'm doing a mix of different sized frames, I need to mix up what I put in those frames as well. For instance, in my gallery wall around our tv I used some family photos, some art prints, and some objects. ... Read More about Different types of Art for your walls
Bold Accent Wall
A little while back I shared my craving for bold dark accent wall. In the middle of my chaos, sometimes you just have to do something different, walk away from all the current business you are swamped in and do something fresh. I showed a sneak peak of my updated home office space yesterday on Instagram, and I'm here to give you all the details today! The last time you saw my home office space it looked like this. I think though in order to have a work space that is inspiring to you, it has to reflect what is currently inspiring you. Just because it's an office is no reason it should lack in design, and not be pleasing to the eye. In fact,it may inspire you to want to come in, be productive, ... Read More about Bold Accent Wall
