If you’re like me, you might be feeling like you are still in that holiday coma, wondering what day it is and have consumed entirely too much cheese over the last couple of days. Non-the-less today is Monday, and even though the kids are still on winter break, I’m finding myself wanting to clean and organize things around our house. Christmas is next week!! And that means that we will be ringing in the New Year before you know it! A few years ago we started celebrating New Years Even in, and having my sister and her family over. We play games and the kids have a karaoke sing off until it’s time to watch the ball drop! It has totally replaced any need to go out and celebrate. So while we stay in there are a few things I like to do to still make it feel special. One of them is styling our bar cart so it’s ready with a champagne toast to ring in the New Year.

Friends, we are in the final countdown. This is the last full week before Christmas, the last week before the kids are officially on Christmas break, and it’s also the last week to order anything for it to arrive by Christmas! Hello Friends!! I can’t believe that Christmas is in less than 2 weeks! I feel like I say this every year, but every time we get this close to Christmas I find myself wishing time would stand still, and in disbelief at how fast yet another year has gone by. Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to Christmas party hosted by my friend Jen from Migonis Home. It was sort of an informal get together for some local bloggers and readers to meet in person, celebrate the holidays, and enjoy a meal together. Honestly, it was more of a blessing than I anticipated, and it reminded me of what it’s like when we allow others to bless us with the gift of gathering. So I wanted to share a little bit more with you all on here, because it truly is a gift we can all receive.
