So last week, I had a fantastic night out with two of my favorite ladies.Not only was it refreshing to spend time with them,bought I got to browse and shop WITHOUTthe kids :) I love spending time withmy kids, but I think anyone can agree how important itis to have a break.So since neither of them had been we headed to hobby lobby, probably one ofmy all time favorite stores.They have so many cool things there, and such a wide variety, it's a one stop shop in my mind. AND they always have these great 50% off sales,who can beat that.So while we were there, I scored this very goldserving platter, but before I evenput it in my cart I knew what I was doing with ... Quick & Easy vase filler
Well, with Christmas this week I have decided to take thingssuper easy. It's so easy to caught upin the business of the season, and sometimes miss out on the most important things.So I decided towards the end of last week that I wasn't going to much of anything online this week, and spendas much time with the kiddos,watching christmas movies, making christmas cookies,listening to christmas music,and any other last minute prep stuffbefore this weekend.So if you don't see anything from me for a few days,it's because we are cuddled up on the couch,with the wood stove going,just enjoying the holiday season in it's simplicity.And between get together's and christmasshopping we are ... Setting the Table
Hey guys, I'm joining the party over at The Lettered Cottage today for Holiday Tablescapes, and wanted to share with you what I came up with: I'm so glad I finished painting my dining room table (post on that project later) in time to dress it up for the holidays. I inherited my china set from my Auntie Karen, about a year before we got married{husband had no CLUE why I was doing this}but I knew the value, and was not going to pass this opportunity up :)It's a b-e-a-utiful set with a platinum band around the edge of everything. From the dinner plates, down to the coffee set, and after dinner glasses.So, basically this is my go to every ... Read More about Setting the Table

Well, today I just wanted to share with you some of the holiday decor that is going on over here. I still feel like I have so much more I want to do to spread the christmas cheer around the house. And I'm sure as the month goes on, I will be adding little touches here and there, but I figured I would share with you the transformation our shelves in the dining room took.Here is what I had before:~still with my tiny pumpkins on them and my pumpkin spice candle~And here's what they look like now:I used the left over tree branches we had cut off from the bottomof our christmas tree, and then filled some clear vases with pinecones & christmas decorations, and a few other things. Here's a ... Read More about {HoLiDaY VigNeTtE}
Wood Burning Love
As I'm writing this post, I have such a HUGE smile on my face.Not only because this BIG project is finally complete :) But thinking about how niceand toasty warm we will be this winter, and snuggling up next to a roaring fire with a cup of coffee,ohhh, can't wait. Anyhow onto our newest addition.We installed a wood stove, and I'm so excited with how it came out.We wanted to centrally locate the stove in our house, so that we could maximize the heat, so it would spread throughout the rest of the house.So we decided on our dining room, especially since our chimney runs up through the center of our house,so we could tap right into that.perfect.Here is our dining room (looking ...
