Hello Friends, and Happy Friday!! I’m so excited for today, because I’m sharing another beautiful home part of the Farmhouse Home Tour Series, where every Friday during the summer I share a new farmhouse style home. In case you missed it, Vol. 6 was Megan Miller and last week Vol. 7 I shared the Rustic Woven Blog. Both were new to me in the last year, and I am so excited many of you said they were new to you too! Today is Vol. 8, and sharing her beautiful home with us is Shelley from Crazy Wonderful Blog.
Our Chicken Coop
Hello Friends!! I hope your week has been going well. We have been totally enjoying the lazy days of summer around here. family vacations, time spent outside soaking in the warm air, it truly has been a great summer so far. I know I’ve sharing little glimpse’s of our chicken coop on Instagram before, but I realized the other day while I was out collecting eggs, I don’t think I’ve shared much of it on here. I announced that we got chickens a few years ago – HERE. And since then we have added to the flock. We have a total of 12 chickens, and honestly they are so much fun to have. I love their personalities, and they have to be the most friendliest chickens I’ve ever met! I love sitting on my porch and watching them, and honestly looking out over our yard and seeing their coop just makes me happy, so I thought I would share it with you today.
Farmhouse Tour Friday {vol. 7}
Hello Friends, and Happy Friday!!! I seriously can’t believe it’s Friday already. We have had family visiting with us this past week, and it just feels like we’ve been in a time capsule. It’s been great to unplug a little and enjoy some family time together, and even though I didn’t get some posts up I had planned for this…

Farmhouse Tour Friday {vol. 6}
Hello Friends and Happy Friday!! I’m so excited about today, because I am starting up the Farmhouse Style Home Tour Series for the summer, and it kicks off TODAY! I love home decor, and anything farmhouse style, and this is so much fun, because it combines the too, and we get to ohh – and – ahh at new homes.
My Favorite Patriotic Outdoor Decor
As a kid I always used to love going to the beach in the summer and all the coastal towns would put out their American flags. Every store front and shop had one, and the lined the streets. Maybe that’s the nostalgic feeling I get when I see an American flag in the summer. So today I’m sharing some of my favorite patriotic outdoor decor around our home, and I have an exciting announcement at the end of todays post!
Home is Where Your Story Begins
It’s a gift, that environment you created, that space you cultivated, even if you just fluffed the throw pillows on your couch – when you take the time to make others feel comfortable and welcome in your home you are offering them a gift. It’s not always about having the nicest and the best. If I think back on every home I’ve had, through every season of life I’ve been in, there is one common thread through them all – it was a welcoming environment. Whether my living room was made up of thrift store furniture, or when we could finally afford to buy a new couch.
New Countertop in the Kitchen
I’m so excited with how it turned out, and how it feels in our kitchen now! It’s so much brighter, and it truly feels like it was always supposed to be this way. It was worth the wait, I can tell you that. I’ve wanted our island to have this type of of countertop ever since we purchased our home 7 years ago. So if that gives you any indication as to just how excited I truly am, that you get it 😉
Easy Landscaping Border
Hi Friends!
Thank you so much for all your sweet comments about our new outdoor dining area that we extended! We have already been using it as our primary eating spot, and I’m currently typing this post out there as we speak! It truly feels like a little escape, and being outside surrounded by nature is exactly how I want to be spending my summer. I mentioned in my post on Monday I would share how I did the brick landscaping border in this area, I promise it really easy super easy, because I do not consider myself a landscaper at all! Here’s how I installed this easy landscaping border.
New Outdoor Dining Space
I am so excited to be sharing our newest outdoor space with you today! In case you missed it, I shared our outdoor patio area HERE last week. If you’ve been following along on the blog, then you know earlier this spring we rented a bobcat and expanded the area around our barn. Well I’ve been busy working back there, believe me there is still more I can’t wait to do, but let me show you what we’ve done so far!
