Pretty in Pink Centerpiece Tutorial

Hello Friends! Mothers day is fast approaching, and if you caught this years mothers day tablescape, then you know I went all “Pretty in Pink”, with some beautiful pink ranunculus. I am no florist by any means, but I’ve thrown together an arrangement from time to time. I usually love to enlist the help of my talented friend Christi from Twig & Tulip. She is what I like to call a ninja master when it comes to arranging beautiful flowers. She created the lovely arrangement on last years Mother’s Day tablescape, and so many more for other tablescapes I’ve done in the past. But every now and then (usually when I procrastinate) I try my hand at it.

Hello Friends, and happy Monday!! I’m so excited to be joining in with some friends today for a little look around our home. Spring finally hit us last week. Like finally. It’s my favorite couple of weeks, and I’m not quite sure if I love it more than fall ( I think I do), because with everything starting to bloom, it feels so magical. It’s the best reward after a long winter, and the anticipation and excitement each tiny bud brings is a reminder of lazy summer days ahead.

What’s For Dinner?

Do you dread that question? Nothing hits me more like a ton of bricks than when my kids ask me “what’s for dinner”, and I don’t have an answer. I’ve mentioned before that this season in our life definitely has it’s moments of being “busy”, and I’m told it only increases as we get into those teen years. When my kids were little I really started getting serious about cutting our processed foods, and being conscious of ingredients and what we were eating. But lately with spring sports in full swing, weeknight programs, and work getting busy, I’m finding myself reaching for the box of Annie’s mac & cheese more and more. I once heard the saying that when a creative person gets interrupted it’s like derailing a train, and it takes forever for them to get back on course. I can’t even tell how true that’s been in my own creative business, so when I’m working on a design board or editing photos, and trying to get that one last thing done before the day is over, and I hear “mom, what’s for dinner?” I panic.

Laughing, sharing memories, and of course taking time to be with one another. I think there is nothing more than moms would rather do, then to sit around the table with the ones you love, and cherish the time spent together.

We began doing some yard work over the weekend and it felt so good to dust the last bits of winter off. And now I have the itch, ha ha! I had shared before, that now with our master bathroom renovation over, we started to turn our focus outside on our yard. Hi Friends! If you tuned in yesterday than you caught our Master Bathroom Reveal. I got so many beautiful comments on how the space turned out, and I have to say we are so pleased with the outcome. I mentioned in the reveal I would be back today to share a few more details, because I could have turned the reveal post into a novel, lol. Plus I always like to see more of the transition process in a makeover, and yesterday post was more focused on the final reveal.
