Our House after 4 years

04/08/2015 By Bre

8 Apr

I don’t know about you, but I’m still recovering from the busy weekend. We had so much fun hosting Easter for my family, and no matter how much you prepare I think I practiced Tip #5 from my post last thursday the most : ” Give yourself grace – after all your planning and prepping, don’t forget to sit and enjoy your company”. Along with celebrating Easter, we also had a little milestone of our own over this past weekend. We moved into our house 4 years ago on April 2.

It’s so crazy to think that it has been 4 years already. Our kids were just babies, literally 22 months and 10 weeks old, and we moved the day after we got a fresh 12 inches of snow, good times!! I didn’t start blogging until about 6 months after we moved in, and it was to primarily document our house, and all the things we did to it for our family that live out of state. At the time it was the easiest way to update everyone on our home and growing kids. Now looking back this blog has turned into much more, but today I thought it would be fun to take a look back at our house, then and now, and see how far we’ve come!

*some of the before photos were from the original listing of when our house was for sale, so they are quite blurry but I think you will still get a good idea for just how much change has taken place*

After painting, and re-panting, and swapping out old decor for new decor. It certainly has been a process along the way, but it’s so much fun to look back and see all the changes our house has taken in just 4 years! You can catch all our updated photos in our House Tour, to see even more pics from around our house.

Stunning! Absolutely stunning. I’m working on my dining room (now that the kitchen is finished. Woo hoo) and I’ve been going back and forth on my bench color. Would you believe you and I are almost spot on with the leg color of our table and the color of our bench!?! Love!

Visiting from stonegable. Your home is do light and airy. The good bones were there and the before look was quite nice, too, but you have accentuated the architecture and made it your own. Nicely done!

It’s so much fun to look back and see the progress. I’ve been doing the same thing recently, and I was amazed at how much I had forgotten about our house when we first bought it. You’ve done a great job in your home, it’s beautiful. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Bre,

I love the paint colors you have used in the before and after pictures you posted. Is there any place on your blog where you have listed the names of the colors you have used?
